We aren't a selling club. If we started shifting players every season for tens of millions I'd worry.

I believe we like to laundry cash for our owners as where else can they smuggle 14m cash abroad?

There is nothing wrong in selling players we don't need for 10M each though. Don't you think?

We tend not to sell our best players; we usually only sell the failures.  The successes we keep until they are old.

If we make money on Bellamy, we'll have done okay out of that signing.

We may yet make a few bob on Crouchy if he goes.

Alonso would cost way more than the £10m we paid for him, while Sissoko may yet leave for a big profit.

The most disappointing failures I think were a number of houllier signings (Cisse / Diouf / Diao / Cheyrou) where we lost a big bit of money.

Rafa's failures have tended to be at the cheaper end (with the notable exception of Morientes).

How many players do we have that are worth 10 million and are not needed? We want the best out of players, not to prep them for bigger and better things, because there shouldn't be any bigger and better things.

Last decent player we sold??

Michael Owen?

Robbie Fowler?

Jari Litmanen?

Litmanen - bought for free, sold for free - hardly at his prime when we shifted him age 31

Owen - cost us nowt, sold for £8m - not bad given <12 months on his contract and wouldnt sign a new one. Blame Owen for the fact that he went for less than market value

Fowler - again didnt cost a bean, sold for £11million to Leeds - not bad I dont think.

Roy. Shut up. Just shut up.

"Zlatan was released by Ajax because of his fucking attitude. Released by Juve cos just not good enough to play alongside Trezeguet.
He won't score or make an assist at
