Wimbledon LTA 2007

Has anyone been to Wimbledon in the past or can anyone offer some advice?

I've never been before but I'm thinking of going down for a couple of days during the first week of the tournament. I don't have a ticket (missed out in the ballot !!) so a few questions for you tennis enthusiasts.

I'm told you can queue for a ground pass for the outside courts. How early do you reckon you have to start queuing? It's not an overnight thing is it?

How 'available' are tickets from touts for the show courts and what kind of prices do they charge? (I don't even know the face value)

Some people have told me that if you turn up late afternoon or early evening you can generally get admission to the outside courts without a problem as so many are leaving for the day. Is that right?

I've also been told that spectators leaving the show courts early give their tickets back to the association who then re-sell them, for charity, at the gates for that evening. Again is that right?

Over to you.

No idea mate but be good if someone answers your questions as I am going myself.

Got two tickets for Court 1 on the Tuesday of the second week!!
No, jazz. You fear jazz. You fear the lack of rules, the lack of boundaries. Oh look, it's a fence. But, no, it's soft.

Well mate, I'm not exactly overwhelmed by the response here.

Looks like I'll be knocking it on the head for this year and relying on you to report back, once you've been, so I can plan my campaign for next year.

No pressure on you mind!
