New laptop?
« on: May 17, 2007, 02:21:18 PM »
Right, my laptop is buggered. A mate tells me its a power failure, for some reason the power doesnt get to the hard drive and so the compute boots up. It happened to his pc and it only cost him £40 to sort out, he reckons it will easily be a ton to fix the laptop.

So do you reckon its worth buying a new one. I was reccomended laptops on ebay that are pretty damn cheap and new but im a bit sceptical of taking that option. My laptop is about 20 months old and its pretty decent specs. Cost about £700 at the time aswell

What do you reckon?

a 20 month old laptop should still be under warranty
