Apparently there is to be a raffle for the blowjob, and everyone will be included (even those who are gay or female and have no interest in attending)

I know I did sort of defend this idea, but the way it has been implemented is by far the worst way. Should have just given everyone 2/3 days to get an application in, or allow people to apply online like the e-season ballot or over the phone. Then do a ballot with people who actually want a ticket. This is just a joke.

i am not holding my breath about tomorrow - i just cant see my name being one of the few pulled out of the "hat"

we dont even really know how many tickets are available from the ballot or how many people will be entered?

i guess it is 10k tickets with 30k entered?

If they announce succesful ballotees before the sale to people with 7+ credits finishes then people can wait and apply togheter with a friend and they get to sit next to eachother...?

What pisses me off is the fact that selling arrangements have been released and people still don't know what's going on with certain parts of this ballot.

For example, if you need to log on to your order history to check your purchase then they should be telling us that now because a lot of people won't have their passwords because they queue up for their tickets. Telling us tonight would at least give people a bit of time to have a dig around for their passwords. The whole thing has been so fucking secretive from the start it does my head in.

I can see why they've chosen to do it this way and one would hope the decision is based on the amount of fans with 6 credits that took up the option to purchase tickets  in 2005 weighed against the number of tickets available. I still think with a bit of foresight they could have released letters to apply by the end of last week and have us send them in on the friday so they have them now but I suppose it's a lot more hassle than doing it this way.

There's obvious problems though with familes and partners getting entered into this ballot in presumeably seperate allocations. Like if you have 2 kids and you only get 2 tickets, so there's one for the dad to go and he then has to choose one kid to take with him as they obviously can't both travel alone. It's stupid and could be avoided by letting people apply themselves. Admitedly that doesn't affect me but it's surely going to leave a fair number of tickets un-clamed which then leaves the club with the task of dishing them out again with a maximum of a week left to do it as people will be leaving to Athens from next weekend onwards.

Anyway, fingers crossed and lets hope we get sorted.

Yeah but doesn't help if you and your bird want to either go together or not at all and you only get one ticket. It then leaves a ticket un-wanted, which either ends up being sold on for silly money or passed on to a mate, or possibly given back to the club who will then have a very short time-scale to send them back.

Leave it out eh DannyD - trying to start more rumours?

Why would the RTK group have anything to do with this?

For the record most of the people behind this RTK group are season ticket holders. Some with every European away, but some with just the home credits, so they're/we're in the same boat as everyone else.  I can't speak for everyone but I'm sure as individuals some are feeling just as aggrieved as you that their season ticket loyalty counts for nothing on this occasion.

So again, why would 'we' have anything to do with this? And where/how/why have you came up with this absurd assumption?

But RTK seem to have Parrys ear at the moment don't they?  Surely if they have the best interests of the club and it's fans at heart (as they claim to) then they should have made Parry aware of the deep feelings people have about this issue.

 No?

Is that the "best interests" whereby season ticket holders get the entire allocation to themselves, with FC holders locked out?

RTK = Reclaim The Kop.  They're not an organisation set up to sort all the other problems with the club out as well.  They would have had as much knowledge about the way this ballot is being done as anybody else and would have known the details only today.

Yes, it's shit the way it's organised and a whole shambles but to point fingers at RTK is laughable and shows that some people on this thread  really do have their heads further up their arses than I thought.

Wonder what the RTK have to say on this fiasco. Strange BHB and Co.who have an opinion on everything hasn't said a word come on RTK speak out you didn't have your fingers in this peice of rotten pie did you?

Come on DannyD, make yer mind up! It wasn't so long ago you were claiming the RTK are a Scouse separatist group working on ensuring our fans come from Liverpool and only Liverpool. And yep, a Liverpool that doesn't include Halewood or Huyton, or erm, Kirkby. And today, well, you're basically implying that the RTK have worked in cahoots with Parry to get fan card holders into the equation. Therefore cutting out regular season ticket holders who in turn are more likely to be Scouse.

As has been said, laughable!

Who's pointing the finger at RTK? just pointing out that they could use their influence that's all.Who else representing the fans could get in touch with Parry?

I'm sure if you took your head out of your arse you would relise that.

the rtk organisation is causing a rise in anti wool sentiment. seen it getting worse this season already. it's not their fault that some locals have taken it the wrong way and used it as an excuse to abuse wools. but there is certainly a bigger feeling of us and them.

I'm sure if you took your head out of your arse you would relise that.

To be honest mate what could RTK have done about this whole final tickets situation?

With the first point, that season ticket holders should or shouldn't have preference over fancard holders, opinion is split down the middle and for the RTK group to get in touch with Parry to say STHs should get first dibs ahead of FCHs would be fruitless and only showing the opinions of some fans, which some others are completely against.

The second point, the fact that you didn't have to apply for the ballot and everyone is entered whether they intend to go or not, was only something that was revealed around 2pm today.  RTK would have no idea about this in advance and to be honest, it's an issue that doesn't concern them.  It's a bit of a mess by Parry and the TO, but you'd presume they'd have thought of all potential problems in advance of deciding how to do the ballot and still thought it was the best way.  Even if RTK got in touch with Parry and told him that X number of fans are complaining on forums he wouldn't change anything about the ballot.  He might bear it in mind in future, but I wouldn't bet on it.

all milan season ticket holders get 1 ticket

Not really, here is more about the story.

Milan make Final offer
Tuesday 8 May, 2007
-----------------------------------
Milan season ticket holders will be given a priority purchase option for the Champions League Final, confirmed the club on Tuesday.

The Rossoneri will face Liverpool in Athens on May 23 and Vice-President Adriano Galliani wants only the outfit’s most loyal supporters present in the Olympic Stadium.

“I am trying to do something romantic by bringing only our season ticket holders to Athens,” said Galliani on Tuesday.

“I see that someone is attacking me for this decision, but I am sure it mirrors the Milanisti’s real spirit.

“I believe that the supporters who have been following the team every Sunday over the past 10, 20 years, and don’t go to the stadium just to see Milan-Manchester United, deserve to travel to Athens.

“As long as I am the director of this club, I will do all I can to favour the fans who always show up at the San Siro to see Milan, no matter what happens.”

Milan have been handed 17,000 tickets by UEFA and every season ticket holder is free to buy one ticket from the club’s website before noon on Wednesday May 9.

“The tickets assigned by UEFA are not enough for all the 2006-07 season ticket holders,” read a note on the website.

”If there are more than 17,000 requests made then the most faithful supporters will be privileged.”

There will always be more sheep than shepherds.

“One of my favourites is Ricardo Quaresma. The day I go back to coaching I will do everything possible to sign him. Quaresma could make any club have that extra step up in quality.” - M.Lippi, August 2007

I think you're making a mistake of observing two coincident events and assuming a causality that doesn't exist.

I agree that there has been a growing anti-newbie sentiment in the last two seasons, and that this sometimes finds expression in some as anti-wool.  This, however, has not been caused by RTK, rather the foundation of RTK was in response to precisely the same factors which are driving the anti-wool sentiment.

That factor being the huge rise in new fans since Istanbul.  This has caused huge pressure on ticketing, especially for euro aways, as people seek to be part of that whole Istanbul myth. That pressure is causing resentment.

Just take this trip to Athens, where it is obvious that thousands of fans with no hope of getting a legitimate ticket, many no doubt going to their first game of the season, are buying up flights and accommodation, pushing prices to a point where many fans who qualify for a ticket (you know the ones who have to pay for season tickets next month and have already paid to get to Eindhoven and Barcelona this year) can no longer afford to go.
