So Liverpool have secured Champions League football again for next season this weekend against Wigan. Chelsea face Newcastle at St. James' tomorow lunch time needing a win to keep the title race alive.

But really this is the big one, the one weve been waiting for a few weeks now since beating PSV and Chelsea stumbled past Valencia. A repeat of the semi final from two years ago.

Fasten your seat belts, its gonna be exciting!! I feel the butterflies already!

I agree with this. I'd love us to be able to keep it tight at the back and get out of there with a score draw or a narrow defeat. Call me pessimistic but I just don't see us going there and winning.

The emotions this tie will bring up will be incredible. I remembering saying before the 2nd leg at Anfield that this night (the night of the semi-final) will either be one of the best days of our lives, or one of the worst. The same will apply this time as well.

Don't like being over confident, we all expect Rafa to get the upperhand tactically
but both games will be very close and nervy.
It might all come down to a bit of luck or simply who wants it most
and that's what I'm pinning my hopes on, our lads know that this trophy can be ours, they
know what it feels like to lift the biggest trophy in football, they want to do it again.And it's just
three games away.
Any kind of a draw would be a superb result on Wednesday, obviously if we can manage a goal
or two that would be tremendous.

I know it is hard to predict a Benitez line-up but if it is anything other than this I would be surprised. The only possible changes I can see is Pennant for Bellamy, which would allow Gerrard to play through the centre.

some really attacking options there. i think pennant will have a role to play in this one. in fact, i think he now has the ability to really make a difference a la garcia. its amazing what a bit of confidence and a bit more love from us lot can do.

Reckon we need to score an away goal, its only an advantage to be at home in the second leg if you score away from home. Go out to score. I'd fancy us to win at Anfield if we got an away goal, without it I'm not that confident, I was fucking proper confident two years ago.

our starting eleven.
Chelsea will have Cech,Terry,Carvalho,Essien,A.Cole (if fit), Lampard,Makelele and Drogba as definite starters
with any 3 of these Ballack,SWP,J.Cole,Ferreira,Shevchenko, Kalou, Mikel making up the starting XI.
It'll be interesting to see who they start with tomorrow at St.James.

Another thing, Carra and Agger must play very very well. Drogba is in the form of his life at the moment and one bad performance from either of them could mean curtains for this years CL. We need every single player on that pitch at the top of their game, it's a CL semi and they all should perform. As far as the result goes well I don't know what to expect. One minute I expect Chelsea to win, the next I expect us to win. I just hope the lads go out there and do themselves proud.

Think Essein is banned so who they play at right back could be interesting. Both Boularooz and Ferreira are dodgy IMO and we could get at them down that side. Think playing Masc, Mom and Xabi all together is too defensive. If we're to attack them we need to do it out wide and try and stretch them. I guess it's almost a certainty that Ballack, Lampard and Mikel/Makelele will play so they will be quite narrow in midfield
