Topic: TV broke / TV repair person needed - HELP !

Can anyone recommend a good TV repair person? My TV went last night so looking to get it fixed.  The picture and sound went and its emitting a high pitched whining noise when I switch it on. Also the standby/on button light has disappeared. Its a 30in Sony CRT. It's not insured so any good (cheap!) TV repair person recommendations would be greatly appreciated.  Many thanks in advance.

The way technology is right now, it may be cheaper to get a new TV.  I realise that may be not what you want to hear, but if the tube has gone, by the time you've bought the replacement part and paid labour etc.   At least from my experience that is.

Am kinda hoping that may be the case - would love the new panasonic plasmas !  But need to see if its repairable & at what cost before I have to splash out.
