Barcelona are fielding a very, very attacking lineup..

Valdes

Thuram
Marquez
Puyol
Oleguer

Xavi
Iniesta
Deco

Messi
Eto'o
Ronaldinho

Hope LFC come out and stuff them, score  first half goal and win in style.

We really need to get at them in the wide areas. Thuram and Oleguer are both slow fullbacks and are really centre backs (now that Thuram has lost his pace). No defensive midfielder in their side either.

That barca midfield looks ripe for the taking....and is it me, or are they fielding 4 centre backs?

Fairly surprised Speedy isn't on the bench. His pace could have been vital when the Barca defence gets a bit tired.

Eto'o isn't match fit. Can't see him last 90 minutes so Barca are going for the early goal..

Is Thuram playing full back? To me that team looks like Thuram and Puyol at centre back with Marquez in centre midfield, Oleguer and Iniesta wing backs.

Interesting line ups - if we can gain control in midfield then their defence is there for the taking.

Bloody crapping it now though, come on Redmen!  :scarf

He is by now.

Nah they brought him on as a sub on the weekend when they lost 2-1. He's hasn't played a total of 90 minutes sinces he's come back from injury.

No, it looks like a 3-4-3 that played against Zaragoza and turned around the result of the first leg.

-------------------------Valdes------------------------

--------Oleguer----Thuram----------Puyol-------------

-----------------------Marquez--------------------------

-----------Xavi-------Deco-------------Iniesta

Messi----------------------------------------------Ronaldinho

------------------------Eto'o-------------------------------------

Expect to see something like that with Iniesta covering back when needed and Marquez doing to same.

Looks like Rijkaard is going all out which could either really work or backfire badly, still a very brave approach.

Barça know they need to score 3 goals because even though a 0-2 result would work it's doubtful they'll keep a clean sheet.

surprised he hasn't started with Crouch, read Rafa's quotes bout Spanish teams not knowing how to deal with tall strikers. Guess Rijkard didn't fall for it though, judging from his team. there's some pace in their backline.
