A bit of a setback yesterday but I'm not chucking in the towel yet. I still think we will get another small window of opportunity to get ourselves into the title race.

Our only hope is that the Mancs and Chelsea slip up. When we drop points, they have to drop even more points. I think we can only afford one, perhaps two more draws until the end of the season if we are to have any sort of chance.

Agree with that too. Also, we have to beat the Mancs here. A draw would not be a disaster if we pick up away wins but a defeat to them and it is game over. That said, the mancs will have a go at least, not like the pint-sized people's club.

If spurs can beat them today, we have gained a point, chelsea going a further 2 ahead is not the main thing at the moment, 2nd or 3rd i aint too bothered, its the mancs we are after, so defeat today and the weekend hasnt been too bad.

An heroic interpretation of the statistics. We need two teams to implode, not one.

Useless fuckin spurs c*nts.

Fair play to the mancs, playing good football this season, still if we aint winning it I'd rather chelsea won it, lesser of two evils and everyone just thinks chelsea have bought it, this will be number 16 for the mancs, and thats getting rather too close to 18 for my liking.

Fuckinhell, they'll be on ecstasy overload if they read that. The bitters are still on an all time high celebrating the 0-0 draw at ours yesterday.

Nice to a see team who are willing to really fight hard, and battle for their pride.  Well done Spurs.  What a good effort.

All but over now for any hope we had - but it's not all that much more unlikely than i was 48 hours ago.  Until it's impossible, i'm not giving up.  The problem is though, it's not about us, it's about United, and then Chelsea.

Fuck sakes. Well, that's more or less it from us. Thankfully we can still stop the c*nts getting their hands on the trophy and put down a marker for next season. We better twat them at Anfield.

dont be silly...its not over yet...we will win every game 7-0 and the mancs will lose at least 5 games 4-3 then chelsea will be hit by a meteorite and arsenal will lose loads of night games because its past their bedtime.

Well the 2 dropped points has set us back a long way in terms of trying to put pressure on Chelsea, and looking at how the mancs are playing, we cant really expect them to drop that many points. This was one that we thought that Spurs might be able to pull out a draw but it wasnt to be, and Im not sure where they will lose or draw any games.

All we can do is get back to winning ways, and take out Barca and see how it goes

Some clubs were always destined for greatness...

Well I'd be a fairweather fucker if I changed my mind off the back of one result so I won't.

I still believe that we can get within 5 or 6 points by the end of March and if that's not a title challenge then I don't know what is ;D

spot on - whilst the gap at the beginning of feb was 11 points, and has risen to 13, it will all look better again if it is reduced to 9 by the last day of the month.

Big fucking blow this weekend, and no mistaking it.

Who could foresee such a gutless pitiful performance from Spurs?  Tell ya, with the money they've spent, and some of the quality players they have, Jol must be a serious candidate for next sacking.  If I were a Spurs fan I'd be livid with their displays.

Anyhow, the potential for United to drop points is shrinking;  I still hope for a Fulham battling display in 2 weeks...  and as said if we can be within 9 points before we play them, its still got the potential to be interesting.

But not what we needed this weekend.

Maybe it was part of the deal that saw Utd pay so much for Carrick.
"All the lads have been talking about is walking out in front of the Kop, with 40,000 singing 'You'll Never Walk Alone'," Collins told BBC Radio Solent. "All the money in the world couldn't buy that feeling," he added.

But not what we needed this weekend.

I switched on the TV, saw the score was 3-0, watched Saha play Giggs through who effortlessly lifted the ball into the net and decided I'd seen a microcosm of the whole game in one move, switching it off again.

I wasn't far wrong, either.
