New Liverpool Kits 2007-2008 (NEXT season I do mean)
« on: December 23, 2006, 07:44:14 am »
The speculation needs not start from zero. For the 2007-2008 kits:

HOME KIT = unchanged, this year's home kit is retained.

AWAY KIT = a new WHITE/LIGHT SCARLET shirt matched with BLACK/LIGHT SCARLET shorts.

EURO AWAY KIT = a new BLACK/LIGHT SCARLET shirt matched with BLACK/LIGHT SCARLET shorts.

This means the current yellow away and the green/white kits will be discarded at the end of this season. Detailed designs / cutting / pattern of the two new shirts are not yet available.

Frankly, Im dissapointed. I always thought that football shirt designer would be an exciting and riveting job, yet your shots make it look as exciting as proposing cost cutting measures in the subsidised canteen. One fantasy ruined ...

wat aload a bollox lad if this is true all supporters who purchased them 2 kits can sue liverpool as the kits come with a season sell by date on them n these have 2006-2008 SO DONT KNOW WERE U GETTING INFO FROM PROBABLY U DREW N DESIGNED THESE YA SELF

You may refer to this catalogue-print from last season. You can deny photoshop work but NOT an adidas merchandise catalogue disseminated by Adidas to all wholesalers.

One more word on the so-called life-span mentioned by the club. I can tell you that the last CL home kit released by Reebok was first captioned as "2005-07 Champions League Home Shirt" at the club's online store.

Sooner when the announcement was made that Adidas signed new sponsorship contract with Liverpool for the 2006-2007 season onwards, the caption at the online store CHANGED to "2005-06". So I don't know if legitimately you can sue the club for a breach of terms or not.

Last but never least, do take a look at the Adidas paper-tag on the green/white EURO kit - it's clearly stated the shirt has the life span of "2006-2007" only.

Same. Especially with the green Carlsberg.

Michael, I wouldn't suppose you would have any idea who our next sponsor is, or if we are changing at all?

Well, no credit taken, no guarantee given!

This is the full page scan I got.

As shown, the home kit still comes with Carlsberg. But GOD KNOWS if the contract will be renewed or not before the expiration in this summer. May be after the acquisition by the Dubai conglomerate, we may have DIC sponsor on the chest (touchwood speaking, make our shirts as ugly as the Actually I'm Gay  sponsored one  :-X )

HES AN EXPERT HAVE HEARD IT ALL KNOW..NXT YA GOIN SAY HES SANTA CLAUS AS WELL

Well, actually I wasn't going to say that. I was going to suggest a home learning course or maybe you could even phone the local college or nearest educational establishment to see if they can start teaching you to stop butchering the English language.

Michael, thanks for the news on the kits. I much prefer the black and white shirts to our current shirts. Thanks again.

Welcome friend. :) Actually we need not be too pessimistic about the designs of the two new kits. The above preliminary drawings show a white shirt and black shirt only. But if you refer to the captions, the colours are "slash LIGHT SCARLET". So we may guess there will actually be patterns on the shirts blended together with the light scarlet colour. They won't be just  plain white shirt / plain black shirt.

I expected we'd change our away shirt, but thought the yellow one would then become our third shirt (which what happened under reebok).  We've been changing our away kits every season for years, its hardly a shock.  The rules only state that a premiership team's home shirt should remain unchanged (apart from sponsor) for two whole seasons.

PLEASE READ THREAD #2 & #3 AGAIN.

The price is NOT denominated in Sterling Pound. It is my domestic currency.

That's the problems I know posting these scans - If I block out the price guys will ask "what's that behind the erased part?". If I show the original scan here comes your question.

Don't mind the home kit, but I was hoping they would change the collar on it for a more simpler round design. Something similar to the Yellow kit.

The Black kit will be the same as Chelsea's current away one with Scarlet instead of grey patterns.

Any of those would be better than the current yellow kit. It just doesn't look right seeing them playing in that kit.Too bright or something.

I like the yellow, reminds me of those 80's yellow adidas aways we had.  I was hoping we'd keep it as the third kit next season.

We wish!!  I think they sponsor too many competitions and associations to sponsor a european club.  I bit like the reason vodafone pulled out of the man u deal - biggger fish to fry.  Look great on the kit tho, maybe with diet coke on a white away shirt!!?
