After reading all your opinions about yesterday's match, i felt that Boavista were there for the taking. Unfortunately for us their keeper had a great match, he made 2 or 3 quality saves. But in the top level of club footie you should take your chances and if you don't like we did, then the other team (sooner or later) will score.
I'm sure Thommo would have not been pleased with the way we gave away the corner and the fact that we lost concentration across the back line to let in Silva to score the equaliser.
Also we sat back far too deep and we gave away possession too easily. If we had been playing against a better quality team than Boavista (no disrepect to them), we would have lost
Finally it will be a nerve jangling match against Dortmund. It will be a match for the not faint hearted and both teams need to win to join Real,Barca et al in the 2nd group stage.
Tomas Rosicky, giant Jan Koller (with Hyypia absent) and possibly Amorouso will be one of the main threats to our chances of winning the group. It should be an very interesting match, and be wary about the Germans springing a suprise!
