Beautiful football from us today, everything played along the floor and through midfield and the defence knocked absolutely nothing long towards the strikers, the best I've seen us play for a very very long time. Was an absolute pleasure to watch. They looked confident, passes were crisp and efficient and they were clinical.

Fantastic stuff and long may it continue.

I wouldn't go that far. We won 3-0 and looked comfortable for 80 minutes of the game, but a better side would have given us more of a game tonight. We were good, but not fantastic yet.

Absolutely brilliant. No complaints. Every Liverpool player played the part. Garcia reminds of Zola back in the day. Momo strong and defiant as ever. Finnan consistent as ever. And Gerrard scoring goals. Wonderful night.

Ratings:

Reina - 7 - solid, nothing much to do but did it well when it mattered.
Finnan - 9 - faultless performance. got forward, got back, linked up play all day long on the right and made a brilliant last ditch tackle when we were under the kosh. MOM
Hyypia - 8 - got forward to good effect and never bothered at the back.
Carra - 7 - quiet night for him, just did his job.
Riise - 7 - showed he was hard as nails after getting butted. Did his job.
Garcia - 9 - took both his goals with brilliant calmness. A very, very good performance.
Gerrard - 8 - never stopped getting forward. Took his goal brilliantly.....at last.
Alonso - 7 - sound as a pound, nothing special apart from on brilliant pass.
Momo - 8 - does he ever get tired?!? kept his head really well after his card.
Kuyt - 8 - see above. what are we feeding these guys? just never stops running!
Crouch - 6 - really quiet game for him, but not his fault, just nothing played to his head.

Rafa - 9 - just keep this side, Rafa! It'll do the business time and again!!
