« on: October 23, 2006, 08:05:10 pm »
Got this message when i tried to download BitMeter from download.com.

I want to be able to find out my weekly/monthly internet usage.

This programmed was recommended but I cant install it from the zip file due to this message popping up.

Any ideas?

Sounds like you need the .Net framework installing. You can download it from Microsoft.

There'll be better ones than that for you Andy, without installing .NET, which I doubt very much that you need.

I use a freebie one from AnalogX called NetStatLive. On this page...

http://www.analogx.com/contents/download/network.htm

Shows live transfer rates and totals (until you clear them). Also shows CPU usage too.

Not sure if the built-in XP one gives you totals.

AnalogX has a few other really handy free utils too.
