This show will be fun.  :(

But I will have to listen to it.

Well until it pisses me off, which I guess will be after about 5 mins.

How much can you beat a dead donkey - if people can't work out for themselves were it went wrong by just watching it yesterday then they don't deserve an opinion and especially be allowed to call up a radio station and talk about it - lets face it Rafa won't be listening in

When does "uneducated bitching and moaning" become an "inquest"?

I'm not bothered about catching up the big 3 (arse, mancs and Chelsea)....we should forget about them...we aint in the same "league" as them....we just need to focus in getting our way of playing right, get consistent and then we'll have a look at their league position and start worrying!

No need for worrying then. We have to find our game and not think about the others. If we win games or at least get a point in difficult games we'll have done what was in our hands. If other teams have more points at the end of the season then so be it, but at least we'll be able to say that we did everything we could. I don't care about people talking about our season being over now or before the start of the season that we could win it. We have to get as many points as possible and next year in May we'll know where that took us.

As for the reasons we lost or played bad in our last games, I don't think it has to do with tactics, rotation or whatever. You can't win games with players who aren't in top form. If there's no confidence in the team you'll always lose games especially if there's nothing really working in our favour.

It's just the little things like at Bolton. If we had scored first, we'd have won that game and maybe we would now be happy with a 2-0 win at OT. We need to change the momentum in our favour and that will only work with a solid win and not like at Bordeaux where we scored one, but then almost shit a brick.

exactly!

I dont know why many were expecting a win at OT...we hardly played to their level in the last few days...

we need to go back to the basics and try to get the simple things right....would be nice if the fans put a bit more voice...

was it as bad as we lost against Everton? was it as bad as we lost against Blackburn...its just because this one it was United...the scale got amplified...

Even against Bordeaux...we were disgusting in the first half...

We could have played Marine on Sunday and we would have lost. Just abject. But I don't really want to listen to people moaning about it in the 'inquest'. Unless Quincy is on it. You've got to respect his abilities in Post Mortems. Never lets you down.

The fact that I thought we wouldn't get back into the match after they had scored was a massive disappointment for me. On the basis, sure, we had some decent spells, but we didn't dominate large sections of the match, like we had done against Everton and Chelsea. We're lacking self-belief and confidence, that will come in time, and coincide with the new boys settling in completely and the senior players get back to their best. Until then, we will be lucky to scrape wins like we did against Bordeaux.

The words 'hit', 'nail' and 'head' spring to mind.
Nobody would give a fuck if we had gone out there and lost a proper 'end to end' thriller 3-2. We would all be raving about our lovely flowing football and saying how unlucky we were to have come away with nothig.

Maybe Raffa could actually try treating the players like human beings instead of cogs in a machine. According to Gerrards biog,he has no contact whatsoever with the players on a social level. Maybe the team bonding should start at the top, because i fail to see how its possible to build team spirit and raise morale when he insists on treating the players in this way. I would love to see Raffas tactical nous combines with the social skills and team bonding skills of a Keegan or Allardyce.

As much as i despise Mourinho, he does keep the team togethor well and they do have a great team spirit at the club. im in no doubt whos tactically better between rafa and mourinho but you have to give him credit for the way his team sticks togethor.

Funny..i thought we drew to Blackburn...but that aside. Like someone replied it's the manner of the defeat. I could take getting fucked 4-0 by those c*nts (and in fact i predicted that we were going to get tonked), IF the team fought for their lives and we conceded goals on the break. Playing the first 5 mins and then going "Oh, wait a minute, we're at Old Trafford....we surrender" is what's got my fucking goat.

And when you find yourself along the untrodden path
Remember me with a smile, a drink, a gesture or a laugh

Garica didn't play against Chelsea (wasn't even a sub) and we played with Bellamy and Kuyt up front against Chelsea (not with just one up front), so it ain't really correct to say "Everytime we play Chelsea, Arsenal or Utd away from home, our 'tactical genuis' of a manager picks the same formation."

Bellamy didnt play up front mate against Chelsea. He was shunted out on the left hand side. He is a centre forward, not a left winger.

Its the tactics that dont work. Maybe i should have been clearer in the original post. In the 6 games we have lost against the big boys(make that 8 including this season), he has played just one up top. He may have played 2 strikers in some of them, but he has never had 2 up top. I just cannot understand why he is so reluctant to do this?? Is he that worried about the opposition that he doesnt trust the players??

Houllier used to get slated for this sort of approach, yet it seems that at the moment Rafa is doing the same. Picking a team that is based on unsettling the opposition, not a team that is focused on our strengths.

By the way, i dont want to see Rafa go, but he simply needs to understand that his desire to turn us into the premiership Valencia will not work. the players simply do not have the tactical ability or technical ability to make it work. Rafa keeps saying that the players will be frsh after the new year, but whats the fucking point in that if we are 15-20 points behind the leaders??
