After I received the standard letter from them I wrote back asking if they can tell me where I am on the list. Got a phone call from them on Friday saying that the new reference number I have is my place in the queue  ::).

Still doesn't make sense though. If 50 people don't renew next year will they give me a new reference number or does my cuurent number no longer tell me where I am in the queue. Although logic and TO don't normally go hand in hand.

It may be worth giving them a call and ask for Miss Leigh Marland as it would appear that she deals with the Season Ticket List and was very helpful.

just dug out the response from the t.o. re: my near ten year wait

my reference no is in the 30,000's so i'm hoping that theory is wrong :o

i'm going to ring in the next couple of days and see if i can get anything like a 'clear' answer :but

Surely theres something we could do to get the club to publish a waiting list at the begining of each season. This would cut out tickets being issued to anyone and you could see where you are on this list and have some sort of idea when to expect one any suggestions how we could get the club to do this ?

I was on the waiting list for 8 years, but last year I rang up to see where I was on the list but they had no record of me, so just make sure.

But I am now using my cousins one :)

I sent a letter about a month ago notifying of a change of address and asking the date I made my initial application.

They have acknowledged the COA but didn't tell me when I first applied.  They gave me a new reference of 04526.

recently got a letter saying, to the effect

Dear Reds fan

oops, looks like we fucked up.  WE can't find you on the season ticket waiting list despite the fact that you've written to us every year for the last 5.  please could you send us details of the letter we sent you 5 years ago saying that you were on the waiting list, otherwise we'll just put you back to the bottom shall we ?

Fortunately I've got my hands on one for this season with the likelyhood of one for next year too.    :no :upyours :wanker

I phoned up to be put on the PTS list just after the start of the season and she said I'll be on it next year like. Phone up I reckon, that way you'll always get a straight answer...well most of the time anyway.

I'll have a look for the number that I rang.  ;)
If you're going to sign up on Betfair please use my code N4TFVF4PK

How would you word an application for a season ticket?

Would it be, 'please put me on your very very long list for a season ticket or I wish to apply for a season ticket'?
