Went to ASDA Walton this morning and as I'm about to pick up a dozen eggs an arm reaches past me and when I turned around, there was my neighbour Molly. Bet you'd never have guessed that one.

ok, was at a q&a lunch with Houllier, Poyet and Peter Reid. Afterwards went up for autographs, some bloke went to Peter Reid and said he was a great player and he should have played for the reds - so I said to him naa, he would never have made the team!

Was at Anfield last night for the finals of the Under 11 schoolboys & schoolgirls competitions. Was sat just by Cally & Thommo who were presenting the awards to all the kids. Flanagan was introduced to the kids before kick off and also saw Ronnie Moran with his family. Twas a good night. Some cracking players with three games going to extra time & two to penalties.

Saw 'razor' Ruddock in town a few weeks ago having a bevy in the tube, seemed sound, took time to have his picture took and sign autographs. Couldn't get over the size of his head, makes Steve Bruces look petite.

Once in Harrods my mum decided to tell me that she was pretty certain she saw Gary McCalister but didn't mention it as she wasn't sure if it was him or not. Oh why didn't she just let me have a look if it was him.

With more discipline he could have been a legendary player...and I don't say that lightly.

Strange bloke I reckon. When you read the shite he supposedly got up to when playing for us it's natural to think of him as a c*nt but I saw '60 minutes with Neil Ruddock' on LFCtv recently and he said playing for Liverpool was the highlight of his career. He even showed a YNWA tattoo he had on his arm. All a bit odd.

Nice to see someone has the insight to acknowledge his ability. Ruddock had all the tools required to be a top-drawer centre half. Big and strong, rugged, uncompromising, comfortable in possession, sweet left foot. Unfortunately he had issues with his weight, the booze and his overall piss poor attitude. Sad really because his talent should have yielded so much more.

And that's what makes his shit attitude while he was here even more annoying

Here in Dubai, Rob McCaffrey does "An Evening with......." Q&A in our local every now and again. It's usually diabolical. Whoever is over for the footy punditry on the telly that week. Sam Allardyce, Gary Pallister, Carlton Cole.... the comedy value is the best as no-one in the pub gives a toss and carries on talking and playing pool amongst themselves, with McCaffrey constantly shushing everyone while his D-list footy bore-off tells some inane story of "I remember this one time when.............zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

However, his best night by far was "An Evening with Razor Ruddock" Straight away he cuts off McCaffreys introduction with "oh f*cking shut up you, you're boring! No-ones here to listen to you, they're here for me. Go and stand in the corner!" He then had the attention of the whole pub with loads of funny stories all night. He could do stand-up. He's a natural.

He could do stand-up if stand-ups did the same routine word-for-word every single time throughout their careers. Otherwise he could do the odd after dinner gig when people are too pissed to realise how shit it all is.

No mate he was dead good. He may well be repeating stories, but I'd never heard them. And they were funny. His banter with the crowd was off the cuff though and he was hilarious.

I've heard enough boring ex-footballer yarns, Lee Sharpe has been dining out on the same Cantona/Ferguson story for years and years.
