Attacking lineup here. Looks like we could even go for 3 or 4 up top if we need it. Optimistic.

Looks good.

Don't think that we need Momo tonight. We should be too strong for them anyway.

Garcia is excellent at these European games

Has Garcia and Pennant played together yet? Looks good.

suprised to see no Momo, put gerrard in the middle well done.

2-1 Reds, Gerrard and Kuyt
He wasn't perfect, he made mistakes. But he was genuine. He had the best interests of the club at heart, and gave us a plethora of successful teams that we should have been thankful for.

Good looking line-up. That was my guess for the midfield. Main surprise is Aurelio. Got to feel a bit for Warnock after being told that he would be number 2 to Riise for that position, as Aurelio would play mainly in midfield. Still, am pleased Luis is there so guess Aurelio won't get too much of a look in at LW, especially once Kewell returns.

Nice side, good to see Carra back in the side. Is Agger starting ahead of Hyypia a sign of things to come? Will be nice to Gerrard back in the middle tonight, should be an entertaining attacking game. Still think we'll win 3-0 though

Great to see Stevie back in the middle. I understand the problem we have in the middle, but stevie needs to have a certain amount of games in his favourite position.

and delighted that Kuyt starts again.

Good starting XI.

I feel Mr. Kite will continue scoring tonight.

Still no room for Robbie on the bench, I wonder what he´s thinking at the moment.

Agger is there for pace i guess. Two slow strikers and no Momo shows Rafa expects to be pushed up high against them. Ergo, Agger to stop counter attacks.

Is he? I did wonder, but Benitez said we had a fully fit squad (Kewell must be a case of out of sight out of mind!) and physioroom don't have Warnock down and they're usually quite accurate.

He's gonna want Momo 100% fit for Bolton away too.

If Momo is fasting then it would difficult for him play so many games when he going 12 hours during the day without food....even though he is a warrior!

Same reason Morientes played a lot of games with Crouch - especially at home

If they do sit back as expected, then pace ain't gonna help too much. Plus they conceded 2 goals at the weekend to a beanpole striker ;)

Strong looking side that. And Alonso surely to be rested on Saturday with Sissoko returning. Looking forward to seeing Crouch and Kuyt together.

Surprised Robbie not even making the bench. Wonder if he's having a special training programme after missing so much of pre-season? He'll play his part in due course, I'm sure...

Very aggressive looking line up, we should steam roll these turks. Watching Gerrard in the middle will be something!

Hoping Garcia continues his fine form in Europe.

3-0
Garcia
Kuyt
Crouch

Come on lads, get the fuck in there! :scarf
If he retires I'll eat my fucking cock.

Great anti climax for those expecting jizzihno....

Love the lineup can't wait. Smart decision i think to choose Aurelio over Riise too, alot more comfortable on the ball and will help keep posession better. Glad to see Agger keeping his place once again and Kuyt still in the team too :D

Yep we'll need Momo for the trip to Bolton. not sure whether Alonso will be rested on Saturday tho, seeing as we have the intl break after this week.

Im sure Sky will be full of the 5 changes made bollocks, but we should still have a lil too much for Gala, its a perfect opportunity for Crouch & Pennant to get back into the groove.

I like the team, can't wait to see how Crouch and Kuyt link up.

Really like to see an injection of pace with Bellamy and Gonzalez at the hour point, just to keep the game open.

interesting team.....good to see crouch given a start with Kuyt...2 players with good game intelligence, with luis too...surly = goals..
this could prove to be our strongest pairing up front...crouchie can be unplayable at times

Bellamy needs to get his head down, keep out of the papers, and focus on winning back his place...
although he has his court case coming up early next month, which worse case senerio, could result in 6 months behind bars  :o

Probably wanted to be careful with Riise and not risk another unfortunate injury.
