Glad we picked up the pace and took the game to them; intensity seemed to be lacking the first 10 mins or so.  Should be able to get another one or two.

Impressed so far, not much width but we're creating chances and they've had nothing. Need the second to make it comfortable. Made up for Dirk, his performances so far have deserved a goal. Pass by Xabi was exactly the kind of thing that inspired Christine's banner - a superb pass, great overlapping by Finnan and Kuyt attacks the near post like a top striker should and gets his reward.

Even excluding the goal, i think Kuyt has looked great. Always looking up, always chasing balls, always willing to backtrack to help out. He does 90% of the time what Morientes would only manage 10% of the time (Note: Stats cannot be guaranteed)

We have been in total control of the match in the first half.
Alonso has been absolute fantastic and Garcia has shown we miss him when he is not in the team.

Babayaro is a c*nt and he should have been awarded with a red card and we a penalty when he out of the blue just pushed Kuyt straight in the face.  :wanker
I have seen this stuff from him before, and I guess the FA will take action against him since Halsey missed the whole thing.

Happy for Kuyt that he broke his duck and a great run from Finnan, just what I have asked from him constantly during his days here.

We should also have had a free kick in a very dangerous position when Parker handballed just outside the box from Garcias shot.
There will always be more sheep than shepherds.

“One of my favourites is Ricardo Quaresma. The day I go back to coaching I will do everything possible to sign him. Quaresma could make any club have that extra step up in quality.” - M.Lippi, August 2007

We haven't been great but have done enough. A great ball by Xabi to find Finnan who had made an equally good run. Kuyt did what we bought him for and finished and easy chance well.

We need to pick it up second half and get at least another goal because we will be having a nervy finish otherwise.

Can the FA take action from video footage, or does there have to be mention of it the referees report?

Ok first half, through we started to play a lot better towards the end. We need to get Bellamy into the game a bit more and stretch their defence but so far, so good. 45 mins more of that please lads!!!!

Bellamy hasn't had much impact in the last two games.
What do people expect from Bellamy. At what point did he go from being a player who had to decide whether he was going play for Blackburn, Birmingham, Everton, or Celtic to a player who's going to solve all our problems.

Shouldn't let other people get your kicks for you.

Am staying in the States and was wondering what I had to do to watch good quality streaming footage. Don't mind paying a certain amount of money either. As long as its not exorbitant. Hattori, your coverage for the Kuyt goal was great. Where was that from?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Agree on Babayaro - Finnan does things like that more than you give him credit for - he's always attempting to overlap. Nice that you're giving him credit for it now because someone has finished a chance that's come from it but he does his job in an attacking sense, has done since Rafa came in.

Very nervous half which might be expected at the moment, but the right result so far. Super through ball from Alonso, but Finnan isn't getting enough respect on here for his cross, there was still a lot to do.

We look like we could knock another couple of goals past these if we step it up another gear. We've played well so far but sometimes I'd like us to be ruthless and just try to score - not mess about with the ball. We need someone who wants to lash the ball in the back of the net nearly every time he gets it rather than pass and pass. Obviously it's nice to see the teamwork and the play can be very good, but we tend to overdo it.
