actually it is against Belenenses BUt our mega important game is Tuesday against Austria Vienna in Lisbon should kill em but will be harvesting my nails never the less!!!!!!!!!

loads rui "god" costa!!! kikin fonseca the mexican who scored a goal against Portugal in the world cup, miccoli !!!!!! katsoranis, and athe future portuguese left back Miguelito should arrive today or tommorow, we have a lot more options in atack and it hopefully should be a good season

MOST IMPORTANTLY Simao is staying!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bellamy looks a kick arse sighning and so does mark gozalez u guys hopefully could win the league this season!!! (would give me tremendous pleasure seing Mouring weep!!!!)

Nice one. He's one of my all time favourites. Even though he is quite old now a lack of pace is not something that has ever been a problem for him. One of the most technically gifted players I have ever seen, also one of the most graceful.

I tend to watch EuroGoals on Eurosport so I will keep an eye out for Benfica...

Rui is still by a country mile our best most loved son, bit like stevie g with you guys he still has a good season or two left in him, his love for the cause is more than enough to keep him going!!!

I was always a great fan of the Golden Generation in Portugal and I was ultimately disappointed that they never won a major trophy to prove their class. Portugal to me are like the Brazil of Europe... movement, grace, intellignece and flair.

Rui Costa, Figo, Nuno Gomez, Couto, Joao Pinto... a great team.

got back from portugal the other week,

ive kinda developed a liking to sporting lisbon after a few trips up there and ive bought some merchandise!

this friendly Benfica fan makes me wish id chosen them!!!

Heroisdomar, what is with Pauleta? Scores shit loads of goals domestically but doesn't even look interested for Portugal. Portugal looked good again in the World Cup except that they did not have a good striker to put the ball in the back of the net.

Surely Pauleta isn't the only option? There msut be younger/better alternatives out there?

pleeeeeeeeeaaase do not get me started! all I can say is Nuno Gomes done more in ten minutes of the WC than Pauleta in the whole tournament! Pauleta has retired now from internationals, watch out for Hugo almeida of Werder Bremen!

I used to share a flat with two guys from the Navy when I was living in Sicily. I used to see them once and then they'd disappear for weeks on end. Shame they were great cooks.
