Brad may be a film snob but he's bang on with this. I'm probably not even gonna bother seeing this as it will only wreck good childhood memories.

I was harboring similar doubts when I first heard it was being made, but, it just might be good, so I have to see it.

If it's shit, well, can always stick the original movie on and pretend it never happened.

Have to agree with Brad on this one, anyone even in connection or slightly responsible for Pearl Harbour, Armegeddon and Bad Boys 1 and 2 should be done away with!!

Thats a bit harsh. Bad boys 1 and 2 were good and Armageddon was ok.

It all depends on what your into. If I'm revising or doing some work I stick on Bad boys so I can zone in and out as I please without losing any of the plot. They're great hangover movies as well.

He does what he knows best. He tried changing things with Pearl Harbour and look where that got him. Just blow some shit up stick in a few laughs and blow even more shit up. THE END.

As much as I love the original movie (I watched it as a kid like the gen before me did Star Wars), one does have to admit that after the Prime/Megs showdown the rest of the film's a right old shambles. So this live action edition can't be as bad as the second half of the original.

I'm going to see it. Even if it's going to be another Bay action over substance fireworks show, it still has Optimus Prime, Starscream and Jazz. All my favourites from twenty years ago :)

I would not call myself a film snob, I like cinema popcorn trash as much as the next person

If you like 'popcorn' cinema, how can you not like The Rock? And I quite like the Bad Boys films... number one mainly, although I can understand it not being some people's cup of tea.

I'm actually starting to get my hopes up now that this might be ok. It looks like a giant cheeseball but then so was the cartoon if you think about it. Maybe this will work. :-\

They designs are unfortunate. They're like the London Olympic logo - they looked like they've been designed to death.

Some look a bit off..But the detail.....I downloaded a hi-def trailer and they look photo realistic! Astounding!!

They look good from that point of view, I just don't like the actual designs. Much too busy. A balance between what they are and what they were in the cartoons would be about right for me.

Because they were shit. Not good shit. Just shit. The Rock was better shit than Bad Boys, but still shit.

I bought one of these the other week:

Honestly, you wouldn't believe how good it is when it lights up

When I opended it I was very disappointed with it. However, stick in the batterys and it comes a completley different shirt. They really, really are top draw.

I'm fine mate ta. I've got a Die Hard marathon planned with Kelly today, I'll send you a PM tomorrow

Megatron. They ruined Megatron! :'(

The best bit about the movie was Optimus Prime - not too far from the cartoon version.

Second best bit anyway - number one was Megan Fox.

Some things irked me though.  Not going to spoil it for anyone.  It's a summer film.

To be honest, it didn't ruin anything for me. There were some cheesy american parts that pissed me off and it wasn't a good plot - actually, it was poor. Just like most other action movies.

I enjoyed it, awesome special effects and pretty enjoyable.
