Good luck mate, I for one don't think your time here was a waste. I reckon 19 goals a season is a great return, especially considering some of the roles he had to play (wide left, wide right and lone striker). I reckon as frustrating as it was for us it must have been doubly frustrating for him.
Playing out of position is something most players have to put up with once in a while, but Djib went virtually all season out of position.
This probably won't go down too well, but imagine asking Carra to play right back, then ask him to venture into the opposition half, then ask him to get to the goal line and send over a cross, then drop him cos he isn't able to deliver - we only started dreaming of a team of Carraghers when he moved to centre back, prior to that under Ged he was a capable fullback who daren't venture over the half way line.
OM will get the best out of Djib. That'll be good news for us, it'll mean he comes back full of confidence or we get most of our outlay back. This is a man who would've figured significantly in the French team at the World Cup. Someone knows how to get the best out of him. That is wasn't (or isn't) us is a shame.
So once again good luck Djib and thanks for the memories - however fleeting.
