I'm not watching this game on ESPN due to them supposedly hiring Steven Cohen. Instead I'll be waking up at the ass crack of 8am on a Saturday, surely incredibly hungover and search for a bootleg stream on my computer while fighting off the urge to vomit all over the place.

I'm in the oakland hills these days, so don't make it over to the city much, just look at it across the bay......I used to go to mad dog back in the nineties, but my favorite used to be the mayflower in san rafael, huge turnouts before Fox started showing all the games, and a lot of people who knew each other well. I know they'll open at 6.00am for games, but will they for this?......starts at 4.45am right? anyway....there's four of us it seems, not bad....the red army grows.

I wouldn't worry... the key word there is "supposedly".  There's no official notice that ESPN has hired Steven Cohen.  A search of ESPN's website shows nothing announced.

If there was in fact a hiring of Steven Cohen, then I'd agree.

Any Philadelphia Reds been to The 700 (the700.org) to watch a match? A friend told me that's where the most Reds congregate (apparently not Fado's anymore...) so I'm gonna check it out for the big match tomorrow. Let me know if any RAWKites are planning to be in attendance!

I haven't been to a pub to watch an LFC match since the 2007 CL final. Hopefully we get some better luck this time around.

I'm from the Philly suburbs but I go to school out at PSU (where we have plenty of places to drink and plenty of fans, but nowhere to really watch the games on weekend mornings unless I'm missing something) so I'm not really home much during the season.  I'd love to get to a pub to watch some of our games if I ever could though.  If anyone knows the best spot to watch, don't hesitate to mention it here. :D

I'm actually from Lancaster but I go to school in Philly. State College seems to have Champs Sports Bar & Grill. Its listed here http://www.bigsoccer.com/pubs/location/United-States/Pennsylvania/ as a soccer pub so you might wanna check it out.

If you are in Baltimore, this game will be shown in No Idea tavern. I have been there once, a completely Liverpool through and through place and about 20 to 30 attended the stoke game, so should be much more there this weekend!

Forgot about the Carling Cup match.

FSC plus have Wolves v Man City live at 2:30 pm Eastern, then us at 5pm eastern ( probably).

Extra time and pens in that match would mean they delay our match because their match should end about 4:50pm eastern. So keep that in mind if anyone will be recording our match to watch later.

Heads up for DTV subscribers. Fox Soccer will be off air (with other Fox channels) on Nov 1st if an agreement between Fox and DTV isn't made on a new deal. Saw it on my guide yesterday.

The channels involved are FX, National Geographic Channel, Speed Channel, Fox Soccer Channel, Fox Movie Channel, Fox Deportes and FuelTV. Some of you may also lose the 13 Fox Sports regional networks that televise some college football and NHL hockey into your home communities. Your local FOX broadcast station and Fox News Channel are not involved.

For soccer fans, DIRECTV has exclusive rights to many UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League and La Liga matches, and viewers can watch other marquee soccer league (and rugby) matches on Fox Soccer Plus, ESPN/2, ABC, GolTV, ESPN Deportes and Universal Sports.

Why am I seeing an on-screen message or announcement saying I could lose several of my favorite Fox channels?.
We have been in discussions to renew our agreement with News Corporation (News Corp) and Fox for its Fox Sports channels, FX and some other national channels. The agreement, which expired at midnight on Sept. 30, does not involve either your local Fox station or Fox News, so those services are not affected.

We have a fundamental disagreement with News Corp over its demand that our customers pay 40 % more for the same Fox channels they already receive. That's simply unfair. Since they will not budge, we are forced to take extreme measures. We have told News Corp that unless they come back with a reasonable price that will protect our customers from excessive increases, we will suspend several of their channels on November 1.

When it comes to providing the best experience at the most reasonable value, everyone is accountable, and so we want to prevent News Corp/Fox from treating you any differently. We recognize that this situation will cause short-term inconvenience, and we respectfully ask for your patience. We believe these actions will help keep your monthly bills under more control over the long term.
