2 of us shannon east midlands on 11th back 12th  going to hire a car plenty of time to get to liverpool.
This is an excellent route, very handy, used it last week. Dual carriageway and motorway all the way to Liverpool. Flight times are perfect too.

Any scousers coming from Liverpool to connect with the same flight?  I recall loads doing that in September.

Looking to kick off the party early, in Dublin airport.

How long does the drive take mate??? Flying into Leeds/Bradford myself and takes an hour and a half.

It's exactly 100 miles from the airport to Anfield.
The AA route planner has it down for 2 hours but I did it in 1 and a half hours and rarely broke 70.
Need traffic to be clear as well to do it in that.
Take the A50 to Stoke, M6 North from there and then the M62 to Liverpool. Apart from the first 2 miles, it's all dual carriageway/motorway.

Its reported on the BBC website as May 1st. No other website that I have checked (.tv , uefa, sky) has confirmed this so I'm not sure if the info is reliable or not.

As far as I can see there are no direct flights from Ireland to Athens in May.  Club Travel have a excellent search engine for flights and you shoud try here..... http://www.clubtravel.ie/ for something that might suit.  Lufthansa Via Frankfurt seems to be the cheapest at the moment but the times ain't great.

We go every year and are are booked since January with czech Airlines via Prague Tuesday to friday.  Flights only cost €185 but just checked now and the same flights are almost €650

There is nobody really considering to pay for this?

Not me anyway....too rich for my blood.  We took a calculated gamble in advance of the 1st leg of the Quarters and booked 2 ryanair return flights to Liverpool for 1st May.  €72 each return including all taxes and 1 bag checked in and another €62 each for a night in the Sir Thomas Hotel so €134 each plus match ticket. Happy days.

Won't be so confident about the match ticket for Athens if when we get there as it appears six credits on fan card will not be enough to get a ticket FFS

I take it you dont support your country, with that attitude!

Well, you're willing to swap them for a club game that doesn't involve a club from your country.

looking to swop 2 tickets for the Ireland v Germany and Cyprus games in Croke Park for 2 for Chelsea game. kieron@consolidated.ie

Nearly spat my dinner all over the pc. God thats funny. Nothing against the international team scousedub but come on this is the CL semi 2nd leg. Get real. All the proper Ireland fans from the 70's, 80's and 90's have been pushed out by corporate nature of sport in Ireland. Those games will be full of event junkies. They will be like the Wales game, which I had the misfortune of attending. You could have put a baby to sleep at that game, it was so quiet.

No need to be so smart! I'm only trying something different to try and get tickets. Most people on the ticket exchange thread are only offering to pay ticket price at least i'm offering something different, although i know there is little chance.
