I imagine they will write to thos FC holders prior to the 15th to let them know how they can get tickets.  I think that those FC holders will have to buy their tickets the same way as Carling Cup Final last season, and it'll be a first come first seerved basis.  Therefore it prevents the mania of phones, net and windows with people that just have United at home.  Ticket Office have done a good job with this one!

Can someone explain what 'supplied details of their fancard to the ticket office means'?  Does it just mean that the TO have the details on their database?

It means that when you have bought tickets for previous rounds you have provided your fancard details so that the ticket is recorded against your fancard.

there may not be that many remaining once shareholders etc ge ttheir share though! Bare in mind that these tickets are firstly going to shareholders, then corporate ST holders, then ST holders and Fancard holders with required amount of credits and then FC holders with one.  There will more than likely not be 25,000 left for those FC holders so as I said earlier it'll probably be all postal like the final last year and on a first come first served basis.  Letters will probably be sent out in the next few days with a deadline of the 15th!

I don't really understand this to be honest. I'm a fancard holder with Utd on my fancard. Does that mean that I'll get a letter in the near future saying that I qualify? Will I then have to reply to this letter before I can go and buy tickets? It's the first time I've seen anything like this so if someone wouldn't mind answering my questions I'd appeciate it. Thanks :wave.

As long as I can queue with my FC with United then I'm sound.

Its not clear that is the case here.  I'm in the same situation as you.  I'm fearing a ballot type allocation for the remainder of the tickets.

The way i read it you just phone, que, apply online or post supplying your fancard no. lfc will not be posting application letters out! its not rocket science people. if they were posting out app forms they would have said so.

They are posting letters to those with just one game on their fancard (Man U in most cases) to explain how they apply for tickets!

i think the deal with fan card holders with 1 is:

send your details to the ticket office, then after the initial sale we will get a letter letting us know how to apply.

"After the above sale there will be a remaining balance of tickets and we will be writing to Fan Card holders who have supplied their Fan Card details to the ticket office and have purchased a ticket for a minimum of ONE FA cup match this season to advise them on how the remaining balance will allocated."

Let's just be thankful they have released details so people on here can stop getting knickers in a twist.

It appears to be a fair system so most people should be happy.

If you have only got ManU on your fancard how about waiting for your letter to arrive before asking what it may say?

They already have your details,  and will write automatically to those FC holders with 1 recorded FA Cup purchase.

i don't think that you have to send your details to the TO to ensure you get a letter as they will already have records of who is entitled to one,ie all those with 1 cup game recorded on their fan card.

Pretty sure you can. Do you trust the post for this though? I'd buy online and pay the £2.50 booking fee, you only have to worry about the tickets getting posted back then! But at least you have the booking history then.

So in theory, I get a letter before Wednesday next week saying I'm entitled to a ticket and then I just go down to the TO on Thursday as normal to buy the tickets? Sorry to seem stupid but I've not been through this method of ticket selling before. Cheers.

I doubt it will go to general sale - If there are too many tickets left they may write to just FC holders and scrap the 1 game criteria.

After the above sale there will be a remaining balance of tickets and we will be writing to Fan Card holders who "have supplied" their Fan Card details to the ticket office and have purchased a ticket for a minimum of ONE FA cup match this season to advise them on how the remaining balance will allocated.

maybe im reading this wrong but does that not mean we(fch with utd game)have to sent our details into the ticket office...?

No, it means people who supplied their fancard details to the TO when they bought their ticket so that they could record it. They will trawl through their system and contact people based on that just like they did for the Carling Cup last year.

I'm now beginning to see why buying tickets on STHs fancards is not a great idea.  It just pushes the fancard holders further down the list.

I reckon there will be 23-5,000 tickets taken up to begin with.  So there'll be 4-6,000 tickets for about 14,000 fancard holders.  This announcement won't stop the speculation for those 14,000 still in limbo.

right,i just spoke to the ticket office.they told me,

"you will get a letter in the next few days automatically(no need to send any details in),there are about 12000 people in the same position and it will be on a postal ballot system! if you want seats together then you will need to send all letters/application forms back in the same envelope to ensure this"

hopr this helps people understand a bit better.

what happened with the tickets for the carling cup final last year? wasn't there a letter sent out or something? what did you have to do then?
