Haven't watched it for a few days now, so could be wrong but, I thought Gary specifically was complimenting us on our press. He mentioned that because of City's quality, there were spells we didn't win the ball (true - e.g. start of second half), but ultimately it came through. Very far cry from, "they were shite all game and had 8 minutes of luck".

As for Mane's shot, it is a funny action. But he was more on that in commentary, than he was on MNF.

My god, just listen to Keys describing the PL table before the interview. I reckon someone slowly coming out of a coma could do a better job. All that pausing unnecessary for what is easy to digest info, not technical or academic. Same with the frigid banter with Grey after the interview regarding the height difference between Salah and VvD. And all with that ridiculously dramatic background music. I don't know what station that is but that is just awful television. You'd think with all the money flowing around they'd be able to turn out something more watchable.

It’s pretty dated stuff. Keys’ style is the antithesis of modern broadcasting. I know he behaved poorly at Sky but it did seem there was a real need to move him on regardless of his ‘banter’. His self-satisfied approach was increasingly nauseating; placing himself too centrally in the discourse. Plus, his overt obsession with ‘British’ and suspicion of ‘foreign’ is an evermore marginal stance.
