Liverpool, Reina, Riise, Carragher, Hyypia, Finnan, Gerrard, Hamann, Kewell, Sissoko, Crouch, Morientes. Subs - Dudek, Garcia, Cisse, Traore, Krompkamp.

Good team but no Garcia.....

Would have started with Crouch and Cisse to be honest but not a bad team
He wasn't perfect, he made mistakes. But he was genuine. He had the best interests of the club at heart, and gave us a plethora of successful teams that we should have been thankful for.

Would have much preferred Cisse than Moro but otherwise a good team.

Nick- I think you mean in-match comments, we already have a pre-match thread.

Not sure about Hamann and Sissoko in the middle.  Lot's of bite perhaps but maybe not enough creativity.  Would've put Gerrard in the middle with Didi and Garcia right.  But perhaps Lil Luis is still being eased back in.

We shall see...

I mean he is not starting though - would have preferred him on the right and Stevie in the middle with Didi.

Still a strong team.

Anyone got the mancs team?
So we finish the eighteenth and he's gonna stiff me. And I say, "Hey, Lama, hey, how about a little something, you know, for the effort, you know." And he says, "Oh, uh, there won't be any money, but when you die, on your deathbed, you will receive total consciousness." So I got that goin' for me, which is nice.

Compared to the man team that is ace tho

Van der Sar
Neville, Vidic, Brown, Silvestre
Ronaldo, Fletcher, Richardson, Giggs
Rooney, Van Nistelrooy.

Agreed, would have started Stevie in the middle with Hamman and Garcia on the right. Think in the second half Garcia will come on for Momo, hopefully we'll have at least a goal or two by then  ;D

I think that just about is the best team Rafa could put out, seeing as Alonso is suffering from exhaustion and Garcia is still not 100% match fit.

Rather have Moro in from the start  too, Cisse just can't keep the ball especially when facing top teams.

Lets hope the strikers have a good game, coz in all honesty if Gerrard isn't on top of his game can't see where the goal/s are gonna come from.

It really is time for Moro to make his name, last few games he has been sniffing around for a goal, hope he puts in a performance like he put in against the mancs with Real a few years ago come on Moro you still have it.!

Pretty much my thoughts too,  but then the Manc midfield isn't exactly dynamic anymore.

If A is a success in life, than A equals x plus y plus z. Work is x; y is play; and z is keeping your mouth shut.

Can't see anyone other than Gerrard (or maybe Sami from a set piece) scoring.

Possibly the best team we could have put out, but I'd have put Cisse in for Nando, even though it's like choosing between being shot or stabbed.
