I remember how shell-shocked I felt the day we sold Fowler - but in the back of mind I knew he would never be as good as he once was.

Today I feel fantastic that he is re-signing - but in the back of mind I know he will never be as good as he once was.

All I can say on this one is OH MY GOD.

Did not see it coming at all.

Fowler is a legend. He should never have been forced out of the club, and he's just the type of natural finisher we're crying out for at the moment. To get him on loan (presumably with a view to signing him on next season when he's available on a free) is a good bit of business by Benitez.

Surely this is the big piece of new bascombe was alluding to in the Echo prior to the Jan transfer window.

Can't wait to see him trotting out at Anfield wearing red again (not to mention scoring the winning goal in Paris

)
