Got dad n lad tix for this one so they cant let me down.

Expecting a 1-1 with a Chelsea CL semi 2005 type ending...

What's that dzeko blasting the ball across the goal face in the 95th minute gudjohnsen style  ;D

Hope we dont play five at the back

But can see Carra playing as DM if Jay isnt fit - he wont have  the passes of Lucas, but he sure as shit can tackle better than Adam
Really wouldnt wanna see Carra play DM,he simply doesnt have the legs and movement to go up against the likes of aguero, silva, nasri etc.....also noticed against Chelsea when he came on and played there that his natural instinct was takin him deeper than our CB's......accident waiting to happen imo..

Why is everyone putting Spearing in the line up?
Is it sure that he is fit to start? And even if he is, he may be a bit rusty...
or did I miss something?

It's an indication of how desperately lacking we are in centre mid.

If we don't play someone in a holding midfield role, City will have a field day. Likewise if Johnson plays like he has been Nasri/Johnson/Silva will have a field day.

Hopefully Kenny will have had strong words and we will see some fight.

Really hope spearing is fit for this. Far to many gaps in front of the back four on Saturday.

I'm surprised at the number of spares kicking around for this

Really, have you seen us play lately?

One of the most heart stopping moments in many reds fans lives that. Think everyone in the stadium and everyone watching on telly expected him to score that one.

Fuck I though that when I took my lad to his first game.......against Northampton, though it would be nailed on. Should have knew better with Hodgson in charge.

Kuyt or Carroll upfront? Horrible choice right there...

Tough to choose but I'd have Dirk upfront for this one - don't know why but I gotta a feeling he might score.

Think you might be doing Carra a bit of a disservice there. I thought when he came on against Chelsea he was meant to play in a back 5, not DM.
I agree he may not have the legs he used to but with his experience we can only hope he can read the game and block the runs of the players you mentioned or at least shepherd them away towards our quicker defensive players for them to deal.
He used to play midfield as a youngster so its not an unknown to him and to be fair i am not sure we have anyone else better if young Jay isnt fit.

Would be very happy to see Jay back for this.

That, together with a bit (lot) more from those who played Vs Bolton, and we'll be in with a chance

My question is about Bellamy.  Which will he miss? He either misses City or United.  No way he's going to play 3 90 minute games in 8 days.
United used to win titles on easy street, time for us to take over that real estate

Have a feeling he is going to miss City simply because he has just played on Saturday.

Hopefully Kenny gave some the players a bollocking and they fix up for this game.

Scott retweeted something about J.W Henry and Werner coming to England tomorrow. Surely must be going to the match on Wednesday.

Just reinforcing the importance of this game. Pray we get to Wembley, already have tickets lined up if we do from a mate who's away on the date of final.

If we win our next two games can we sing 'We're going to Wembley twice' just like 2001. Can't wait for Wednesday night.

I am officially shitting bricks about this game, since I have a horrible feeling we will fuck up. Getting through and getting the chance to win silverware and back into Europe, its the boost the team needs for next season as much as this.

I reckon Craig Douglas Bellamy will be rested for the United game. I hope Maxi starts this one. Can see Downing getting the nod over him, though.

  • Up on a hill, here's where we begin...
If we set up like the first leg (first half) we'll be fine. Please don't play 442 or 3 CB's. City will walk through us otherwise. Would like Kelly and Shelvey in. We dont need 3 defenders on the bench. Give me some creativity.

Is Aurelio fit?

Might not be the craziest idea to play him in holding midfield if Spearing doesn't make it.

If we're as open in front of our back 4 as against Bolton we'll struggle

I'm scared of David Silva, could of done with Lucas for this, hopefully Spearing can have the game of his life, if he does that'll go a long way to deciding who will be at Wembley in February
grrr, should have been a 'pool players, grrrr
Goodbye & thank you Rafa. You've given us more than we ever had a right to expect from you and you stayed loyal and fought for us even when some of our own turned on you. I truly hope that you find somewhere with the support that you deserve & win everything in sight.
