The Football League thread 2016/2017
« on: August 11, 2015, 10:32:50 am »
First of all, I hope  BBC get the rights back asap starting from next season. Loved the late late hour which was even later for me here in Greece. Manish used to send me for sleep in peace.  ;D

Hope Derby, Brentford go up. Definitely not Boro.

Will Hughes out for 6 months. Terrible news for the player and Derby.

Ch5's Football League Tonight was just awful. How long have they got until we can see a decent programme back on the BBC again ? Couldn't decide if it was trying to be Top Gear, serious analysis or some sort of light entertainment programme, and basically failed to do any. 15 minutes in and they had still only shown 2 (Sheffield) games.

I used to really like the The Football League Show.

Hull vs Wolves on Sky Sports at the minute, Ojo on the bench, but expect to see him as long as Wolves aren't comfortably winning.
We already have shit in the country, and the game of Liverpool fills life with joy. Thanks

Birmingham vs Derby today. Derby has yet to win (3 draws) but I wonder at what point they start doubting Clement if they don't start winning regularly. They will be in the playoff race though despite Hughes' serious injury.

Good game last night between Brum and Derby, First half was pretty even, Brum scored and Derby would of been angry with themselves for poor defending and slow closing down.

2nd half Derby were by far the better side and Ince once he was moved more central was the best player on the pitch and he also set up Derbys goal what was scored by Russell, who was linked with a move away from Derby in the summer, witch would of been a great mistake for Derby to get rid of.

Another draw for Derby but very good signs for the rest of the season and once they get more used to what Clement wants from them I am sure they will come good.

Yes Boro are expected to go up this season.

They got a comfortable win last weekend against Bolton and were held mid-week.

Good win for Leeds that.

Paul Clement hasn't had a great start over there.

4 points out of 15 for Derby. Struggling to score goals, despite the talent they have.

Only caught the last half hour but what another cracking goal from the championship that was.

Derby were woeful in the short space of time I seen today, I thought they were going to carry on from the performance in the 2nd half against Brum last.

Only just 5 games in to his first managers job and I think the pressure is mounting on Clement, they need a win against PNE next week.

Sounds like a mad game at Bramall Lane, Colchester lead Sheffield Utd 3-2, but Sheffield Utd from 2-0 down scored from a retaken penalty, brought it back to 2-2, Colchester have retaken the lead, but down to 10 men for the last few minutes, which Sheffield Utd missed another penalty.

Derby are a testing watch these days. 7 goals scored in 8 games is pretty shite when you look at the options they have.

Bit of amusement in the Sheffield Wednesday vs Hull game, as one of the Hull strikers clatters into the ref, unfortionatly the ref has had to go off injured but doesn't look too serious, game finishes 1-1.
