Fuck off people going on about Carroll's price.
Fuck off people going on about this forum saying Aguero's shit now, when nobody has actually said it, or even implied it in seriousness.

Why do people make up their own wages for Agüero?

2 sources have said "around £150k" and "£140k" for wages, why do you assume they are wrong just because it doesn't fit your agenda?

Why would Aguero take a massive hit on his wages? He was on over 200k in Spain, if he was willing to accept 150k a week, he wouldn’t be at City.

We really should have been in for Aguero. At £140k a week, he's only on a bit more than Gerrard. The £20M we spent on Downing would have been better off spent on this guy.

Can I just say that whilst Chelsea were splashing the millions under Abramovich, we won the Champions League.

Whilst City are splashing the cash and buying stars, we're building a deep, skillful team and winning the premier league.

Quote me on that at the end of this season/next season.

i personally do not see any point in having two identical players.  Suarez and aguero are similar. Tevez and aguero are similar.
When you think of 3 of the best players in the world
Messi
Tevez
Aguero
All to similar.  Possibly the reason why argentina arent the best team in the world let alone their continent.  Yet on paper a strikeforce of them 3 is possibly the best!
We've done better by getting Suarez and Carroll and the best crosser in the premiership! Wait until 3 or 4 more games and it'll all start to gel together!

Not one of those players is alike to be honest. Aguero is much more of a clinical penalty box striker than suarez is the allround creative forward.

People need to remember that a team with Ronaldo, Raul, Zidane, Beckham, Figo & Roberto Carlos didn't win any single tournament for three consecutive seasons at Real Madrid when all the players mentioned where in their prime.

Brazil in 2006 with Kaka, Ronaldinho, Ronaldo, Adriano, Robinho, Cafu, Roberto Carlos, Lucio & Emerson were on paper the best team in the entire planet but on the pitch they were awful same with Argentina this year in Copa America with Messi, Tevez, Aguero, Di Maria, Higuain, Milito, Pastore, Lavezzi, Banega, Mascherano & Cambiasso and they did fuck all in return.

Names don't make a squad, unless you think real life football is like FM. United's squad on paper is the weakest out of the top six but still they IMO are the favorites to win the PL and the ones who are most likely to compete with Real & Barca in Europe because they play as a unit, City may have the best team on paper but they play individually and not as a team and therefore I doubt that even with Aguero they'd win much next year.

I trust Kenny's vision, we may not be buying household names but we are building a team, a dynasty under Kenny's guidance. We may not have the flashiest of names in our squad but as a unit, I'm sure we'll function better than City. This idea that we have an inferior squad compared to City is shit and those who say it know fuck all about how football operate.

They're signing Sergio fuckin Aguero and we got Andy Carroll for just £3M less.

£35M we payed for Carroll you know, just incase you may have missed it.

Sergio Aguero is a great player. He is not as a good as the recent Copa America MVP, but he is really good. If you have told me that we should have signed Fernando Llorente from La Liga, instead of Andy Carroll, as the perfect striking partner for the Copa America MVP, I might have agreed. However, as the perfect striking partner for the Copa America MVP, Carroll is a much better fit than Aguero, and his price tag could easily be justified.

Don't keep coming into it then?

I wanted him, but we didn't get him so meh. We have Suarez and hopefully we will get another quality attacking player in by the start of the season (doubtful, but could happen). Think Man City have got a good deal here to be honest, but they still lack that cohesion that a good PL winning side needs imo. Saying that, I think they will have a good chance to win the PL next season if Mancini can actually use the talent he has effectively.

ESPN has a sense of humor...

17.56 A car with blacked-out windows arrives at Eastlands, a renta-crowd behaves in the way all fans must legally behave as a signing rolls in and the cameras are on. Aguero: it's on. £40 million the price.

Correct me if I'm wrong, they have Adebayor, Dzeko, Tevez, Santa Cruz, David Silva, Bellamy, Balotelli and now Aguero in the team. They won't be able to move on some of these names unless they sell them cheap or on a loan.

In what way is it clear that he's done better than Redknapp ? He's finished above Redknapp once in the league

How much bigger is Man City's transfer budget ? And all they've got to show for it is 1 FA Cup.

Man City's twitter feed is acting as if they never signed a marquee signing before. You'd think it is a sort of an unofficial fan page or something looking at their tweets.

Same.

Would prefer them win it to plenty of teams actually, not just those two. Find it hard to get pissed off at City. Find it hard to care either way, actually.
