Any trouble mate?

Any trouble mate?

I saw the odd scuffle on the way out, didn't see any large scale stuff but I got off just before the end to avoid the lock in, might have been something later but I hope not otherwise we'll be back to midday kickoffs.

Did see a fucking whopper in the United end in an away shirt 2 sizes too small waving a tenner at the away end every 5 minutes. These people are allowed to have kids and vote.
If I were a linesman, I would execute defenders who applauded my offsides.

I would say the majority of their crowd was chanting that at one point in the game, along with Always the Victims. Fucking horrible bunch.

Irony is lost on them given their fans involvement in a Spurs, a Palace and 2 Boro fans' deaths in the 80s and 90s. Saying that almost all of them probably have no idea.
The blert who got digged outside when singing murderers - funny reading that. Did he have a Utd shirt on too?
He will be probably be one of those obsessed mancs posting youtube vids about scousers now.
And waving tenners? It is not the 80s. How much are tickets now?

Yes, when singing murderers or always the victim, they can pass that off as not being about Hillsborough, but not the S*n was right.  There was a few Munich chants to be honest but not very loud and in the minority.  I always find it ironic when their fans are making aeroplane gestures to bait our fans.  There was probably 10 of their fans making the gesture to each 1 of our fans chanting it.  Odd people.

Or not even that in many cases! Thought we werent bad in the first half, poor later on but it was to be exoected. And loads left early. Having said that, they were pretty quiet- Stretford End is as quiet as the Kop these days except when they scored.

Their communication was poor. Told us to stay in our seats so we did at first then realised people going down onto the concourse weren't coming back! Piss up and brewery.....!

No segregation walking back to the coaches - chants but didn't see any scuffles - then you have to walk round a line of police horses once back in the coach park!? What was that all about? They seem to do something odd in there each time for the last few years but none of it makes sense!

Only good and sensible thing was the Police escort on the wrong side of the road back to the motorway! :)
We are a team of one half.

To be fair, I think a lot were leaving to avoid the lock in that didn't happen.  I'm all for staying the full 90 minutes win, lose or draw but I can understand people not wanting to be kept behind 45 minutes after we've been beat.  A lot seemed to come back in when we scored though, then left again 2 minutes later.

Yeah, it was quite amusing seeing all those who'd missed Benteke's goal come rushing back in!

It was disappointing. But, I think people reached their breaking point. We've largely sat idly by and swallowed their bile and their pathetic "it's not about Hillsborough" excuses.

They've wanted us to retort, hence why when we haven't,  they've dropped their guard from singing songs which were implicitly about Hillsborough to the expressly Hillsborough related "The S*n was right" song.

Disappointing that we reacted, but not entirely unexpected. If you poke and poke away, the snake will eventually snap and bite

It's not on, but lets be honest relatively speaking it wasn't on the same sort of scale.
Ofcourse they'll be some in our support who see it as acceptable but I suspect most of the lads there who reacted got lost in the heat of the moment who would otherwise know better, unfortunately that's going to happen when the masses of the home support is chanting the bile that it did. I'm not condoning it by any means but it surely isn't surprising that some bite back.

I was in an exec box with the prawn sandwich brigade. A day out with work. In hindsight don't think id do it again. Thought the away end showed up in force, shame the team didn't.

Found it a very difficult experience to be honest, surrounded by pure vermin. Kids of 7-10 singing murderers. Just a vile place.

Some of the stewards there are our own too so surely they could do something? I overheard two of our stewards chatting at HT saying how our away fans were so much better behaved than the Manc away fans that come to Anfield.

My first United away. Was shocked at how quiet they were before the game. I'm pretty sure it took them 5 minutes into the match to sing their first song. Anfield is like a library nowadays but you still get at least one song before kickoff for a big game.

Our end was good first half and quiet the 2nd. I left after the final whistle, no lock down or anything.

No segregation walking back to the coaches - chants but didn't see any scuffles - then you have to walk round a line of police horses once back in the coach park!? What was that all about? They seem to do something odd in there each time for the last few years but none of it makes sense!

first time we parked our mini bus with the coaches, so coming back to the car park to see the line of coppers on horses, we all were confused and had no idea what was going on. Thought I must have misheard the announcement the first time but after the second announcement, quite a few left.

I was completely stunned on how many united fans singing anti hillsborough songs (been OT for past 8/9 years, felt like this was by far the most I have seen singing that shit). Few of our lads responded with Munich and the planes movement but looked a small minority.

One thing I always notice about going OT, is the amount of people standing on the right of the away end and above us. Their stewards dont have a problem with them standing, taunting our fans with hillsborough songs/push actions. Or when they score, loads of them run in front of us and start taunting us, I know its easier to deal with the minority but surely stewards can do a better job. Go to the back of the kop and our stewards are determined to get everyone sitting down.

Was a long journey on a mini bus but had a boss journey up and back to London, too bad we were shite during the 90 mins.

What do the police and stewards do when these clowns are singing murderers and songs about hillsborough. They surely have to act and start lifting these idiots.

There'd have to be about 20,000 coppers in the ground to throw out every Manc that is chanting those songs.

I've been to Old Trafford, and the surprising thing is how many of their fans join in with these songs. While it still might be the minority, it's not a small minority in the slightest.

Annoys me that we retort with 'Munich' chants. The decent person in me knows firstly that it's wrong. I've been there, I've heard the vitriol that rains down on you and singing a chant about people dying isn't justifiable ever, in any setting.

The other thing that annoys me about that chant is that it doesn't bother their supporters. They buzz off us for singing it to them. It's like they are almost goading us into singing it. We get upset at their 'murderers' chants and they just buzz of us. Munich was a long time ago and I guess the vast majority of their fans don't really have any connection to it. It probably hurt them in the 70's and 80's but now I'd say it means nothing to the vast majority of them.
I think Jookie might just be the best fisherman on this thread.

Oh, the local vs oot argument again. Right, I guess that's the reason why me and some other mates from Croatia were almost the only ones singing at Udinese away a few years back while a lot of locals were standing there scratching their arses.

Brainless idiots chanting that. Not least because United fans WANT you to sing Munich at them. They're egging you on to do that and some cretins fall for the trap every time.

Sad that it has to come to this, but I think away fans should record the scum on both sides and post it up to name and shame them.

I also think the club should record the behaviour of away supporters at Anfield in order to enforce bans.

Bigbrotherish perhaps, but the people singing and acting like this are just a cowardly mob.

It's not a minority, if you talk to Mancs they would put a Hillsborough song in the same camp as Munich, i.e. signing about a specific horrible event and the majority would not do it.

However

Murderers - Not laughing at the dead, it's blaming the people that caused the issue
without killing anyone - as above
Never the victim - they will claim is about Heysel / Suarez etc not about Hillsborough

Sadly they will never stop signing those songs...
