Last season I think we ended up with 5 players hitting double figures in all comps? This season I reckon we can hit 7 or 8, hopefully our central defence starts chipping in a bit more too.

http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=CFM ... I think it works, they are dead sexy

I prefer RPM. Robby, Philip and Mane. When the wheels are spinnin,we carry on winning!

Emre and Matip added to the list. The player we expected to score is still waiting to break his duck. To be fair to Gini he does say that the role here is different to the one at newcastle.

Updated table

Coutinho - 5
Firmino - 5
Mane - 4
Sturridge - 4
Milner - 4
Lallana -  3
Origi - 2
Lovren - 2
Emre - 1
Matip - 1

the great thing about this team is that we can score 4 and nobody has got a double.

city and arsenal both scored 4 as well and they were made up of two doubles by attacking players.

Love the fact that pretty much everyone can net.We just need to get clyne on the sheet as it is inevitable that the rest of the outfield players who haven't bagged in the league will do so in the remaining games

Was it Fulham or Palace at home in the 80's when every outfield players scored ?

Neither. Palace in 89 there were 8 outfield goalscorers. Don't think we've ever had more than that in a single game.

Only the fullbacks from the outfield 10 who started yesterday haven't scored a league goal this season. Pretty impressive. Moreno hit the post aswell.

I absolutely love having centre backs who provide a goal threat. It just adds a whole new level of goal scoring opportunity to our game. It's relentless, scoring from every angle and situation. It must be a nightmare for opposition defenders. Before, set pieces must have given them a brief moment of respite, but now they dont even get that, what with Lovren and Matip providing so much aerial threat. In recent years we've had Skrtel and, before him, Hyypia, scoring their fair share, but rarely have we had both centre backs giving the opposition something to think about.

Those two and Klavan are more than capable of getting 10 goals between them in the league over the course of the season which will be massive.

Centre backs have a habit of not scoring unimportant goals.
Prime Terry was great at that, lots of equalisers and winners etc.

Hopefully matip and lovren can be our Terry goal threat wise

We must be the worst team in the league for backing first goal scorer. You can only rule out the goal keeper.

In the time he's been here, I've often felt that Lovren should have more goals than he does from set-play. Strong in air but struggles to get them on target. Maybe having got a couple already could see him improve that.

Beaky took a long time to get his first for man u so it can happen .  Having a couple of dangerous players from set pieces should open up spaces for others too. The same as when you've got world class forwards dragging people around and less fancied players start scoring

This team is a freak of football. When Klopp said he wanted more goals in the team, I assumed he meant just more goals in general, not literally spreading the goals throughout the entire team. This is fucking exceptional.

Your best bet for all comps is Transfermarkt. They include things like free-kick wins and penalty wins though, so bear in mind that they will be included.

Dan Kennett ‏@DanKennett

#LFC now tied with 1978/79 for most goals scored after 16 games (since 1962)
40 2016/17, 1978/79
39 2013/14. 1987/88
38 1982/83

Incredible numbers for this season which is shaping up to be something really special. And you'd expect Sturridge and Wijnaldum at some point to start contributing as well plus we might sign an attacking player in January too. Don't see us stopping scoring anytime soon as it's not about a guy or a two as it always was the case with us goal scoring wise.

This is just fantastic.

I honestly can't remember a season quite like it.  Scoring from everywhere.

We've missed Coutinho no doubt.....who wouldn't......but we've still managed to score 12 goals in 5 games since his injury.

And Klopp's got to 100 goals in 48 games as manager, matching Kenny Dalglish and surpassing everyone else.

And matching first 16 games of 1978-79?  Oh Boy!!!
