That's tough to look at... 8 point drop in the space of 3 games.   :(

If you want to take your mind off of it, here's the relegation table.

Reckon we should be safe this season.

Good God I haven't been in here in a while but that really hits it home how disastrous that period was (as if we didn't know already). Really not happy with that grey line above ours, yuck.

Don't worry, we'll be above it by the end of the season, that line is destined for sixth.

We've got a good opportunity to see that red line go up instead of down next weekend with our game against Leicester away.

Our remaining par 1's do seem easier than the other top 6, but it has been those small teams where we have dropped the points!

You're right, but this 'small team' still has a champions' mentality and will come out to play, that should hopefully play into our hands.

Regardless of all that I'm more buoyed by our little 'mid-season break' more than anything else. I'm quietly confident that we will all be on the same page and in full attack mode like we were at the beginning of the season. Something tells me that Klopp's excellent stat of performing better in the 2nd half of seasons has a lot to do with the work he (and the team) puts in during these breaks.

Let's pray I won't be eating my words come next Monday, or the rest of the season....

Getting fourth is looking more and more unlikely. In the APLT this was only - 1 but there is no signs of the rout having been stopped.

Can't wait for the updated table.

Still struggling to comprehend the extent of the drop-off that continues, seemingly unabated.

Since January, in all comps, we're conceding 33% more, and scoring 35% less. That's a huge swing.

I was so wrong regarding my last post... :butt :butt

Here's the relegation APLT for anyone who's interested. I've included Bournemouth this week due to their current position, it's starting to get cluttered and I might take West Ham out next week. I'll see how it looks then...

The bottom three are starting to look more apparent, but we all know how the positions can turn in the space of a few weeks   :'(

Prof: Gather you've been busy lately judging by the delays in updating the chart recently. Let me know if you want me to run it on your behalf.  Happy to help.

I genuinely feel sorry for Boro- one of the best defences in the league by Goals Against.

Well, if it's any consolation, at least Jurgen will realise that there's a lot of things that need to be looked at. Still think top four is achievable, but it'll be hard.

That really makes clear how much we need to beat Arsenal.  Lose that and the top four are beyond the horizon.

Makes no difference if we then continue to falter against the 'lesser' teams.

True, but we're playing Arsenal next, not Burnley or any of the other lesser teams we have yet to face. No point beating Burnley if we lose to Arsenal. 3 points needed either way.

We've turned the ALTP on it's head. We're top of the top 6 - it's the crap teams that we can't beat.

We haven't turned it on its head, in that it is really looking out for title winners. Since we aren't following the general trend of the title winner (that is, playing to par), it's not surprising that we are nowhere near being title winners.

The Relegation alternative table you sometimes see in here allows for losing your away games (or is it home and away?) against the top 6, but the actual APLT expects you to win all your home games, even against the top 6.

Our wins at Chelsea and Arsenal were ever so slightly on the flukey side but they count!

So Arsenal are -10 and we are still -13? United -13 as well I guess now? Spurs need to lose some momentum somehow for us to be able to go top 4. Arsenal always put their shit together once they go out to Bayern in CL.
