It's a shame they didn't use this opportunity for what I think is a good idea (ignore the price) for charity instead. Would be a great way to raise money for the LFC Foundation or any other associated charities.

While some of you (all of you?) don't seem keen on the idea, I kinda quite like the idea of having a "place" in the stadium you've left your mark. Would be cool if they offered a personalisation for seats too (for seasies), but again, with the charitable angle.

No idea but I'm planning to buy one as a tribute to a friend of mine, a massive red who passed away a few years ago.

I emailed regarding this.

"...they are all being installed in front of the new extended Main Stand."

"We are aiming to start production late Autumn and will begin installation of the stones nearer the end of this calendar year / start of next year."

Altered a few spelling mistakes but the info is there !

This was the basic information that came out when they advertised the stones.

Anyone who ordered will be notified of placement of their stone in due course when they officially start placing them.

All one can do is wait if you've placed an order.

If you haven't placed an order yet, do it asap to get in on the first placements of the stones.

I've received nothing yet, would bea good time to install them though over the international break. They have about 9 days until Anfield hosts the four nations final so they may get a head start on them. If not then I dont see them getting it done before the new year to be honest.

Could very easily section off that area to carry out the work, so doubt they need a gap in the games to get it done.

I just rang them now and they said they're waiting for an email off the club themselves so they can't give any information out but the club should be sending emails out this week to those who have bought them.

Thank you for purchasing a stone in the Anfield Forever scheme. We are writing to update you on the progress of the installation of the scheme.

Further enabling works on the Main Stand site are commencing soon, which will enable the full installation of the Anfield Forever scheme. We anticipate that the stones will start to be installed in Spring 2017.

You will receive a further update once the installation programme begins.  If you have ordered a replica stone, this will be dispatched once your Anfield Forever stone is installed.

If you have any further queries please contact us at www.liverpoolfc.com/contactus. Please quote your Order Reference Number in all correspondence.

We thank you for your continued support.

Is to do with the building work on the new club shop isn't it? Doubt they want to install them then damage them in some way.

Rang the club today, apparently they can't start laying the stones until the weather picks up, needs to be a minimum of 10 degrees.

Can't see the problem with this at all.

Would love to have a stone for my Dad - a lifelong red who died a couple of years ago.  Seriously Al and Kniki - I don't see what your problem is, seriously.

I don't know much about that sort of thing, but I would think that the weather/temperature has a noticeable effect on things like this.

FSG probably won't meet the price demanded by Selco's for the cement.
If you ask Smalling and Brown if they'd rather play Suarez or Carroll, they'd say Suarez all day long, because he's not going to bully them or run in behind them.

Yes, they have started.....a while back actually. Completion is meant to be around June - but, I think the deadline for sending in your tribute words is April.

I hear they're monitoring LafargeHolcim with the aim of bringing in some top quality cement in the Summer. Now is the worst season to install, the weather is perfect in Summer for these sorts of deals.

If they are putting the stones outside the new Main Stand, they haven't started.

They're not by the Kop or Anny Road End or Centenary Stand either.

As of today.

50 years? Haven't you heard? Everton are coming up the hill, they already have a better side than us with that huge new stadium making them tons of money to spend on Messi, Neymar & Ronaldo. By 2067 they will have such domination of the league that they will simply swallow the whole of Liverpool Football Club and Athletic Grounds and build a new 500,000 capacity stadium as they truly are the people's club.

Better off changing changing your stone to read "Only got this cos I couldn't afford a Blue one on the docks" :P

To be honest my expectation was that this would happen after the season had finished.

Asked at Anfield today when I was helping with tonight's Mosaic for Hillsborough.

If you want to know what the mosaic is, it's 96 with the Justice flames either side. On each side further out will be a Red and White checkerboard.

Looks brilliant.  :thumbup

Anyway, was told the end of the month is when they might be starting to put the stones out.

Personally, I think it would be after our last home match this season.

Received this email today:

The first phase of personalised stones at Anfield Forever will start next week and your stone will shortly become part of the fabric of Anfield.

As soon as your stone is installed you will receive an email asking you to login into your account where you will find details of the area where your stone is laid.  There will also be a location map that you can download to help you find your stone.

Thank you for being part of this momentous occasion.
