Dull as fuck, plain, quasi old time shirt, with that hideous OTT ersatz original badge. As bad as when Arsenal wore purple for a season when they moved grounds.

I kinda like it. Almost. The badge ruins it - it's too large - would have been better without the white oval and instead just have the badge details in white.

Guess they were going for "retro authenticity".

Love the simple red and white - it would look even better with a v-neck as worn from 76-87. Maybe next season ?

Looks nice, interested to see how they follow through with the design on socks and shorts - but it would be a great sight to see 11 lining up in those.

Great kit. That works because the badge design is so simple and there are no sponsors/kit makers logos cluttering up the shirt.

Too big in addition to the sponsor/logo cluttering up the shirt.

By itself it would be fine (like the 60's kit), or as I said without the white oval and the crest in white instead.

Is it that big of a deal? I'm not that arsed as I don't generally buy the shirt but if they're doing a retro kit celebrating 125 years then white shorts would seem plausible?

It's nice enough. The collar seems a bit tight, the club crest is a bit too 'busy' and I like a bit of yellow in my trim. But it's fine, assuming it's genuine. Do any of our 'insiders' know if this is kosher?

If that's it, I'm a fan! Simple, traditional/classic and unique- just like Liverpool should be!
So glad the days of staring at a template with a few changes from the other teams are a thing of the past, for now. I'd take that over anything Adidias would cook up next season.

The best Adidas kit for me was the 2006 one. You can't beat a neat trimline and a rounded seam(if the shirt bottom isn't rounded, it looks untidy/cheap/stretched and you just want to tuck it in). Those 2 extras were nice touches, rounding it all off and making it look "complete".
Since then I can say that we've had it quite good with the new manufacturer.

Would be up there with the Roma kits of the last few years without it.

Apart from the one kit New Balance have done good with the home kits, much better than anyone else has since the adidas spell up to the 90s.
Shoot me now but I never cared for the adidas kits under Rafa, hated the fit and the materials (even though they were much better than Reeboks).
