Evening, if you enjoy TAW podcasts we'd appreciate a vote for this - The Listeners' Award in the new British Podcast Awards: https://www.britishpodcastawards.com/vote/

Thanks.

Done, took less than 30 seconds and hopefully any awards will bring in more appreciation (and subscribers) of a top quality endeavour.
The sort of people that seek power, are exactly the sort that should be kept away from it.

love this is from Neil's review:

A goal from 1988; Steve McMahon, Jan Molby or the like, a goal Liverpool haven’t scored enough of for years.

https://www.theanfieldwrap.com/2017/03/liverpool-2-burnley-1-match-review/

maybe this one?

... McMahon, who, with a master's eye from the edge of the penalty area, struck a right-foot shot unstoppably inside the post.

To my shame, only just getting round to subscribing. It’s been on a list of things to do for far too long now.

Any recommendations for must-listen podcasts on the TAW player? I’ll try and sift through most of it in time but just wondered what people thought were the stand-out pods (AFQ’s etc) and I’ll delve into those first. Got a long-haul flight upcoming in the next week so it’ll be great material.

Additionally, am I right in assuming that when I’m subscribed, I can just download these to the harddrive of my phone/ipod? Ie: I won’t need an online connection throughout will I?

Thanks fellas.

(PS: The Alonso interview will obviously go at the top of the list  ;D)

Last Friday's AFQ (10/3/17) with Steve Armstrong on is a good enough place to start. Brilliant.

Phenomenal lads, absolutely smashing the content. The Alonso interview, the St Etienne special, the pink after Arsenal, the new teamtalk shows, all superb. Its definitely the best fiver I spend every month.
Nice one for all the effort.

Without wanting to put a downer on it.. thought the sound quality of the Xabi interview was poor, struggled to understand it at times and the background noise doesn't help. I understand being outside effects the recording but maybe should have done it in a room?

We've had a play with it and it's much clearer now, just delete and redownload.

Ideally would've been indoors, but I didn't fancy arguing with Bayern who were kind enough to let us in in the first place

Had the same problem, had to stop listening but will try the new version. TAW are doing a fantastic job but it's the one feedback I would give to you  sometimes I find the sound levels a bit challenging especially when you have a contributor on the phone. The sound level in the studio can be much louder than the phone and it can make it quite difficult to listen to especially on headphones. If you turn it right up to hear the phone contributor you get deafened by when it switches back to the studio. It's not a problem on most shows but it's a shame when it happens as I feel I'm missing out on some good content.  That said, it's great value and the quality of content is very high. Hats off to you for the scoops too.

Is this possibly to do with the technology that's being used? We've been brought up on the likes of 5Live which, I'm guessing, use the most expensive equipment money can buy. That sets an unfair standard when comparing to a far smaller operation.

Just got around to listening to the Alonso interview and I'd like to add my voice to those recommending The Anfield Wrap.

I've been paying a fiver a month since they launched TAW Player and it's amazing value for money - loads of different opinions and formats, and if you don't like one podcast there's usually another along within a day. The content is excellent.

And the interviews are outstanding. They get interesting people and ask them interesting questions - can't ask for more than that.

It's brilliant to see them going from strength to strength. If you don't subscribe, it's well worth a fiver to see what it's all about. Get on it.
