No, the man is already lining himself up for the Manchester United manager post. He will undoubtedly go there after he wins the La Liga with Madrid and is sacked following a public row with the Spaniard Perez.

Do you think he will replace the Scotsman Ferguson? I have to say I can't see the Portuguese coach replacing the Englishman Hodgson any time soon.

“Chelsea moaned about it. Mourinho still does. I laugh. Chelsea's complaints are ridiculous. If it wasn't a goal Petr Cech would have been red-carded for bringing down Milan Baros. What would Chelsea have made of that? Down to 10 men, facing a penalty. Liverpool could have won 4-0. Chelsea got off lightly. They should keep quiet.”

Steven Gerrard.

Is right.

And didn't the referee say he trusted the linesman's decision because mistakes in his other occupation led to fatalities so he had to be absolutely sure.

The self proclaimed special one is at it again as Real prepare for a game out here in California. I went to read what he had to say and found this.  Made me chuckle.

http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2010/07/26/SP151EK1IK.DTL

Jose Mourinho, the iconic soccer coach, thinks it's high time the sport used instant replay for goal controversies.

"I'm one of the people that can cry a little," the new boss of Real Madrid said in a conference call Monday, in advance of his team's game at Candlestick Park. "I lost a Champions League game because of a goal that shouldn't have counted. Please, (let's use) technology."

In the second leg of the Champions League semifinal in 2005, Mourinho's Chelsea club lost 1-0 on a goal by Liverpool's Luis Garcia that Mourinho insisted didn't cross the goal line. Reports at the time, however, said TV replays were inconclusive.

Weird thing is I was actually impressed with how gracious in defeat he seemed to be on the pitch, going round congratulating our players and clapping the fans, and then the minute he's off the pitch he comes out with this.

If he wants to isolate it down to one incident they they went out because Gudjohnsen missed a sitter at the end of the game (thank fuck) that would have put them through - irrespective of whether we had scored one goal or not.

Is right

even after, with the penalties, they were in with a shout! Sadly the self proclaimed 'special one' and the team costing over 103mil (that's off the top of my head, please feel free to tear that stat to shreds) could never admit he was out classed by Rafa. and intimadated by the atmosphere at Anfield that night.

Its a sad reflection of the man, that "He' won the European Cup with Porto but the Ref lost him that tie.

The ref's veiw and the one that counted.

If my assistant had not signalled a goal, I would have given a penalty and sent off goalkeeper Patr Cheh. he beeped me to signal the foul. The noise from the crowd  stopped me hearing it, I have been involved at places like Barcelona, Ibrox, Old Trafford, Arsenal, but I've never in my life been involved in such an atmosphere. IT WAS INCREDIBLE

nothing against you but hope madrid get twatted in the last 16 again while jose is wondering why they are currently sitting 15th in the la liga table

That 2005 CL run was one of the finest displays of grit, determination, team work and luck i have ever seen displayed by a liverpool team - we shouldn't got to the final, we shouldn't have scored 3 goals in 6 mins, Shevchenko should have finished us off but Rafa and his team did it against all odds

I hope he never stops moaning about it, it really is the gift that keeps on giving. Its such a great reminder.

Would like to hear his reply if a journo actually pointed out that if the goal wasn't given, then Cech was off and it was a penalty, according to the person that decides those things, the ref.

Only a couple of months ago he won the CL with Inter and he is still going on about an incident from 5 years ago.  Should he not be concentrating on his up and coming season with Madrid than his one sided spats.  Mourinho has thrown this scenario about the so called goal again not long after Gerrard maintained he was staying put with us so probably sour grapes.

I thought Ronaldo's ego was bad enough but with Mourinho thrown in too now can see there being plenty of fireworks ahead.
