Just got home from work, turn on the TV and watch Lucas shielding the ball out for a goal kick, get praised by the commentator for having a good game and possible man of the match performance and immediately see Mignolet kick it out for a throw in... what a way to get initiated.

What a disappointing way to go out. Thought we'd played easily well enough for the win in normal time, so it feels like a sucker punch to lose like that. Yet another set piece conceded.

Ah, well some good performances from the "makeshift team", some of the youngsters impressed, particularly, for me, Stewart, and Chirivella, but also some of the more senior members. Benteke worked hard and got involved, even if he can't buy a goal.

Sturridge returned and looked lively, and how cheeky was that goal from Coutinho, eh?

I'd be looking at playing some of these youngsters in the League - what's to lose?
