If it comes down to a choice between Klopp and Ancelotti, then it absolutely has to be Ancelotti. No question or doubt about it

His CV is pretty damn impressive

So people are saying it's Klopp. And others are saying it's Carlo.

Can't really go wrong either way.

I just hope we look at the structure of the football department and not just the manager.

I want it to be Carlo but am resigned to it being Klopp

Don't want to get my hopes up. Mainly because of the Bosnian source and its timing

Klopp or Ancelotti, world class players would WANT to play for either of them. Fine with either.
Pretty happy with Arse taking it.

I reckon you must have Klopp in the bag if you've sacked Rodgers this early.
Hope not.

My hat goes on Ancelotti as we are not building a dynasty here, short term goals as if you don't achieve what FSG wants in 2 to 3 years then you will be shown the door so I think with his experience he is the man for the job I guess.

As I said in the other thread, he will cull the squad we have pretty much by 2017 where 90% of the present players will be gone. Another 300m spend by a manager flushed down the toilet pretty much as the roundabout of managers continues. Its all a bit of a joke when you look at that era where the boot room was the class room for the next manager to be promoted from as now its a case of crisis management every 3 or 4 years with another sacking followed by another.

When do people think the announcement will happen ? Surely with timing, it should be in a couple of days...

New manager's first 5 league matches:

Spurs (A), Southampton (H), Chelsea (A), Palace (H), City (A)

If we get that new manager bounce and come out of that run still standing, then this season can get real juicy !

Thursday's usually big news day ;)

Lots of reports seem to think it'll be Ancelotti over Klopp. I'd have it the other way around but I wont complain if its either of those.

To be honest there's loads of people saying both.

I can't recall who, maybe Killer_Heelz said a while back that Klopp plays boring football. Don't watch much football outside of us. Is this true. I know a bit about Ancelotti, and do yearn for an Italian defence and tactical shrewdness.
Are you fishing? No he doesn't, unless you think high-pressure intense football is boring.

Would prefer Ancelotti though, i think Klopp is a nutter who hides it well but blasts his players.

13mins - Bournemouth have gone home. Utd kicked off anyway. Still 0-0 as Smalling passes it back to De Gea.

Be sad if we pass Klopp,  unless Rafa is suddenly available and appointed instead. 😛
Whatever an education is, it should make you a unique individual, not a conformist; it should furnish you with an original spirit to tackle big challenges; it should allow you to find values to road map through life; it should make you spiritually rich, a person who loves whatever you are doing, wherever you are.

Klopp would be perfect for us .Similar situation to actually what BVB were when took them over .So will have experience with rebuilding job too. Also great with giving chances to young players as well

Only doubt is whether the likes of Mignolet and Skrtel are suited to the he want to play .Haven't seen him try different strategies with BVB or Mainz

Whereas Ancellotti is great at finding the tactics to fit with the squad he has .

Anyway nitpicking with either of them .Either of them will be huge for us just hope FSG doesn't mess it up

Seriously though, it's Klopp, everyone chill. Until Ayre and Gordon fuck up the interview and then we hear that he wants to live in London...

Sacking him within a few hours of a game on Sunday after he's gone and said he's sure he'll stay is enough lack of respect, no?

Good question. My guess is the decision was made a while ago, and we waited for the break to announce it. But sacking someone after a derby away win.... dunno.

Klopp for me, but I'd more than happy with Carlo and his amazing eyebrow. The guy is a born winner, and he's class personified. But I think it'll be Jurgen, and I think it's been lined up for some time.

Would also be interested to see how Simone or Unai Emery would do with us.

I believe Klopp worked with a DOF in Germany. It was FSG's original plan to have a DOF. Do it then.
I think appointing a DOF is probably as important, if not more, than our next manager. Should never have let Rodgers work without one really. We need certainty and strength higher up than the manager and at the moment it's not there.
"Mind you, I've been here during the bad times too - one year we came second." Sir Bob
