I think it's fair to assume that the lads got a fearful bollocking at half time. Much more drive and purpose to proceedings as Sturridge gets caught offside.

Offsides on Sturridge because someone delayed passing to him in good time...

52' a delayed card for Sunderland, and we get two free kicks in the span of two minutes. They are pressing us and we are dealing with it but we do look a bit off pace.... might it be the City match?

As with the beginning of the first half, our early intensity drops off like a stone. Very odd.

53' Defoe offsides, the pass to him was very very good, and he controls it well but the flag was rightly up... Sturridge gets the ball and tries to find Moreno but alas he did not make it to the location.... too much bleach in his hair perhaps?

Can has been so bad this afternoon, that you should put your house on him being next goalscorer and it being from 30+ yards. A game's worth of quality in one shot.

On the edge of the circle.

86' - FK 10 yards outside the Sunderland box. Moreno pops it across and Klavan gets a head on it but too far out and Mannone gathers it comfortably.

88' - Stupid Sunderland defender (Djiloubici) jumps and hits Origi in the back of the head. He comes off worse than Origi and is still down.
