Making my way through the Hellsing OVA again and it's so delightfully... trashy.
Started watching Strike Witches the movie last night...there's more knicker-clan-under-carriage shots that anything I've ever scene before...not sure how anything can be trashy and cute at the same time but they're pulling it off (ahem)!
Cheers mate, I appreciate it  :thumbup

A few months ago, I started the ultimate binge viewing: 625 episodes of "One Piece."
Love it to death. Obviously I was late to the party  :wave but it is epic.
It really massively sucks to have to wait a week between episodes.
Where did u get all the episodes ?Reply please.

My connection isn't the best either and I got through them OK - some days are better than others with the speed on that site (or the speed of my connection, not sure which). It's well worth it though. I think you can also find them all on download if you are so inclined  ;)

Someone should do the right thing - go back in time to 1992 and destroy the codes to Championship Manager before it is ever released

The second live-action Rurouni Kenshin was uploaded a few days ago, which I thoroughly enjoyed despite not having seen the original anime or read the manga. Looks like there's one more movie to go, which will hopefully be uploaded in the next month or two, supposedly the fight scenes are absolutely incredible. Think I'll probably work my way through the anime some time next year, got a few other things on the backlog to get through first.

Parasyte the maxim
Aldnoah.Zero
Fate/ Stay Night : Unlimited Blade Works
Ping Pong The Animation
Tokyo Ghoul
Zankyou No Terror
Akame Ga Kill
Your lie in April
Amagi brilliant park
Kill la Kill
Psycho - pass season 2
Nagi-Asu A Lull in the sea
One Week Friends
Shingeki No bahamut
No Game No Life.

That about covers it although I've probably forgot a lot.

It's not this year but I would always recommend Steins: Gate

Trailers for a couple of interesting things came out over the weekend. First up the live-action Attack on Titan, which, if it's as good as the Rurouni Kenshin adaptions they did recently, I'd be happy with.

<a href="https://www.youtube.com/v/YvU3ExhdB30" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" class="bbc_link bbc_flash_disabled new_win">https://www.youtube.com/v/YvU3ExhdB30</a>

Also got the first look at the adaption of Onepunch-man, which is about a guy who trains so hard that he's able to win all his fights with one punch, which causes him to question whether all that training was worth it, as the fights aren't fun anymore.

<a href="https://www.youtube.com/v/6Bdb1V0Io_g&amp;" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" class="bbc_link bbc_flash_disabled new_win">https://www.youtube.com/v/6Bdb1V0Io_g&amp;</a>

Finally watched Ghost in a Shell after all these years, how utterly underwhelming.

Just never seem to go anywhere, am I missing something fundamental?

I liked the art, of course, but I missed whatever you missed as well. A lot of anime films and series have similar problems. It's one of the reasons that I love "One Piece" so much - it has all the artistic elements that I love in anime, but the story and characters are incredibly strong.

Finale on Wednesday. Been enjoyable, although the monologuing seemed a bit forced in the most recent episode, it's made me think.

And that's why I still have all the Cowboy Bebop episodes :)

I even found Paprika to have similar sort of problems and it's received such acclaim, the film sets up nicely but never really goes anywhere - or I'm expecting too much.

Need to let the manga build up a decent run as the anime adaptation was only made a year after it started publishing. I'm guessing.

I don't get the excitement, the anime was excellent but the live action version looks pretty cheesy and cheap. I'll probably give it a watch regardless but I'd prefer some kind of anime filler movie or side-story to this.

I've always loved some anime, but I'm not the type of person to watch them too frequently. Pixar is great, but i have a lot of time for the japanese stuff. Ghost in the Shell, Akira, Cashern, Goldenboy, The Street Fighter series and a few more..

My friend has given me a list to download and watch... What should I watch first? ;D

2. SAMURAI CHAMPLOO heart emoticon ( Nujabes and tsutchie composers )
3. Dominion tank police
4. tetsuwan birdy decode
5. Evangelion
6. Anything from Hayao Miyazaki heart emoticon
7. Anything from Satoshi kon heart emoticon
8. Bleach
9. Assasination Class
10. Monster ( fucking unreal )

6. Anything from Hayao Miyazaki heart emoticon

Well, not everything.  Miyazaki directed a lot of movies, but IMO his best stuff was:

Lupin III: Castle of Cagliostro
Laputa:  Castle in the Sky
My Neighbor Totoro
Spirited Away

Evangelion's great too.  You'll get more out of it if you've watched a lot of giant robot shows, but not strictly necessary.  Start with the TV show.  The movies are a bit out there.

Assassination Classroom and Dominion Tank Police were just meh, again IMO.

My own recommendations:
Parasyte: The Maxim is one of the best TV series of recent years.
Akame Ga Kill - A different take on battle manga/anime, but very effective.

I am currently enjoying these anime:

Classroom Crisis
World Trigger
Chaos Dragon (although the lead character is a pathetic wimp and is starting to make me go off it)

My stand out anime for this "season" is GATE, seriously awesome and I highly recommend.

ha ha yep! Watched it last night! ;D ;D ;D

The score is terrible and massively out of character for the anime! The acting is comical and at times, borderline slapstick!

The titans are bizarre and the fight scenes are like old-skool Godzilla fare.

I short it was ace! ;D ;D

Oh and it just seems to end mid scene, little did I know there is a sequel due out before the end of the year! :o
