Dunno mate there were still people prepared to give Roy more time when we finally did give him the boot. So I suppose anything is possible.

It looks like we'll be pushing further for Downing, and it's likely to happen should Villa accept a bid. Rumours about Mata too, so you can add him as a possbility. That's without even mentioning Joe Cole.

Definitely. Just really needs to improve his tendency for over zealous/rash tackles, which was the principal source of the eleven yellow cards he picked up last season.
