Basically our second team didn't beat a league 2 team. Utterly embarrassing, asks questions about squad depth

Does anybody else feel the same as me we could have 100 corners and I would confidently feel that we wouldn't score from one, whereas the opposition could have one and I couldn't confidently say we will defend it.

We treated that game with no respect whatsoever and got exactly everything we deserved. I'm not one for picking out individuals normally; but I really don't see what a 23 year old Kevin Stewart does? He really served no purpose today with his pointless 5 yard square passes and pedestrian play. When he tried to do something offensive like a pass or shot it was crap. His shit performance summed up the entire game.
Liverpool was made for me and I was made for Liverpool.

Well, as I said at half time possession is nothing without a goal at the end of it.

Think the kids did well, I can't even fault us too much, but it's disappointing to not win.

It wasn't a loss in any sense - we got to rest some players, and we are still in the tie. A disappointing draw is alright but I am disappointed with a draw!

It was obvious they came for a replay, and we need to click with our finishing somehow. Plenty of shots, but very few looked convincing to me

Never mind. Onward and upward!

Dont understand why people are so angry. That team we put out weren't exactly head and shoulders above PA. Both teams were hugely average.

Of course we had some experienced players in there and those players are ok to come in to the first team when we have an injury but if you play them collectively they are exposed.

One thing is for certain you can never trust the 'kids'. When you put them in the team you take a risk.

Plymouth kept a good shape. We probably should have put Sturridge, Adam and Firmino on earlier.

Just a terrible, boring game all round. We've just made our January a lot more complicated.

"A lot"? Really? We'll just play a mostly youth side again.

Not a great game but difficult for the younger players to do much with their experience against a physical side.

Pathetic result, but of little consequence really. The team will get a plane down to Plymouth and we'll play an eleven you largely won't see in the league. Some of you are pretending we have to walk down there and play our finest

Shit game. Nothing to see here

It was embarrassing though. No urgency, no quality, no passion. But yeah it was a great experience for the kids. They finally got to show what it's like to be unable to create any clear cut chances against a shite team.

I'd take it as a massive bonus that we started with Lucas and Moreno, and avoided defeat.

Honestly might as well go full kids for the replay. As with the cup games against lower league opposition last year, the senior players hide. Origi and Can (again....) should be embarrassed by that performance. Lucas was captain and his kids were mascots, it's a nice occasion to say goodbye but he really shouldn't be here. Moreno is as big a lost cause as we've ever had. We'd literally be better off playing any other LB we have in the system, and I have no idea who plays there for the U23s. Just utterly dreadful. When you're a £14 million international player, playing against League Two opposition, and you stand out within your team of 18 year olds as a weak link it really should be time to call that particular experiment done with.

Surely that has be most corners we ever had in a match.Looked like we were getting one every other minute.

Dont mind it in a way as long as we play the same team and get the job done in reply. Also good opportunity for both Coutinho and Matip to get match fitness in.

Bleh. That was tedious. I know we are supposed to say fair fucks to teams that get a replay, but c'mon, that was fucking shit to watch. 11 players sitting on top of their keeper for 90 minutes. The ref was an odd one too.

Considering we basically played the kids and a team that has never played together I can't be too disappointed. They basically played in the box and rarely left. When Firmino, Sturridge and Lallana came on you saw the difference going forward.

Thought Stewart had a good game which was nice to see as I thought his last couple of appearances were a bit average.

We had no choice but to play kids with our tiny squad. Is what it is. We're 3/4 players short compared to teams around us.

Saying that we still should have won.

Not at all arsed. I think the league is more important.

Play the reserve team in the league cup / FA cup and push on until the end of the fixture congestion. And aim to win both. Definitely doable.

Think that's the worst game I've ever watched performance wise.  As much as we were shite though I've never seen a team put that many people behind the ball and for that long ever. Up to is to break them down though.

2 hours of my life I won't be getting back. Fucking hell. Some of the first team players who started out there really need to have a good look in the mirror. Some absolutely diabolical performances out there.

Did we even test their goalkeeper once?

A good lesson for the kids in how teams might play against them from time to time, and how they will have to play in order to counteract this in the future.

Play the same team in the replay, and at least in the replay Plymouth will have to be a bit more adventurous (unless they go all out for a penalty shootout).
