We gonna scrap for this with Chelsea. This is gonna be a 12 round split decision either way, definitely going to the wire. So much threat. I cant think of any other team that would put 4 away and nobody got a double. Great that Daniel got off the mark, expect a run now

Keep saying it, no one is beating us at Anfield. City will be a very important game in the title race - it falls at a perfect time for Chelsea because they will comfortably beat Stoke on the showing we saw today. If we can beat City then we play Sunderland before Chelsea have to go to Spurs....

Top keepers make mistakes aswell. De Gea, the best keeper in the league, has made one or 2 this season. Chelseas first goal immediately springs to mind.
We've been gifted a lot of goals from oppents' keepers this season, but that's often overlooked and once again today we had the better one. Lallana's goal was far softer than Stoke's, for instance - the only place he could shoot.

Almost like he is a pundit paid to discuss the game and was asked a question about the keeper.
It's a little bit wank, though, after having all but thrown a tantrum about the alternative option, and also to ignore all the good Mignolet did in this match (IE, basically everything) in favour of focusing on what he did wrong (IE failing to stop a shot that would have been billed as an absolute wonder-save if he had stopped it).

Super impressed with Wijnaldum, looked so comfortable on the ball and his distribution was class. Same with Hendo

love Jordan Henderson as our captain. Taking no shite from the Sky interviewer.

I can't see us losing at Anfield, either, it's regaining the title of Fortress once more.

Nice message to the rest of the league, that. Scoring first against us makes us angry! Utd used to do that a lot.

I rate Matip as honestly the best defender I've seen in a Liverpool shirt - and yet for me Klavan and Lovren keep him out of the side against City. 1 goal in three games conceded, 9 points, 9 goals scored...they've surely played themselves into starting that match, and have done nothing for Matip to deserve to walk straight back into the side.

I have the odd moan about Mignolet's footwork (which has nevertheless improved) but shout out to him too. He showed a fantastically professional attitude when out of the team, he's been noticably quicker and more aggressive in his distribution and speed off the line, and he really hasn't put a foot wrong, and was great at handling Stoke's aeriel bombardment today. The whole defence just seems very confident.
Both Klopp and Brendan had a tough time getting him to grasp what they wanted, but it seems just watching Karius, seeing what Klopp wants and now trying to supplant him, did the trick.

That's how it's done, lad!

Fucking right Tim nice but Dim question from the reporter, something along the lines of "was it important you won"?

Hendo just looks at him like "Course it was you fucking cretin". And then says "Youse always ask us the same questions, and I'm always giving you the same answer. We couldn't care less about anyone else".

Just the usual shite.

Interviewer - "was that a must-win game, after all the other top teams won yesterday?"

JH - "I keep repeating myself.  We can only concentrate on ourselves."

Basically the same shit questions and the same brushed-off answer than Kloppo gave him as well.
Jürgen Klopp (26 June 2020)
"We were good 4 years ago.  We were really good 3 years ago.  We were unbelievably good last year.  And this year it is absolutely exceptional.  Second to none that I know."

King Kenny to Jürgen (25 June 2020):

I imagine it was mainly ironic, given their supporters chanted it when they scored.

Haha, I'd turned it off by then. These reporters have the best jobs in football - they go to a ground, and have to do a couple of hours work speaking to the greatest people in football and all they can come up with is "did you want to win". No, we really wanted to lose and ruin our Christmas...

One of the best things about Klopp is the way that we just keep going after conceding. Don't panic, don't get down, just keep going. It's a stark contrast to previous regimes. We're right fucking in this and we will kill City.

I've not checked but I'm assuming the comments from our friends over the park (and down the other end of the East Lancs road) are along the lines that the result doesn't count because Stoke's defenders had a hand in three goals and the other was scored by a bloke who should be banned from playing football forever because of a driving offence.

I imagine we're "classless" for celebrating a goal from a drink driver.

The Sky commentary made out like Liverpool had been poor, and the analysis seems to be suggesting we had Charles Itandje in goal.

I think Quinn is generally biased towards teams with Irish players in them. He made Walters sound like the best player on the pitch at times.

His most embarrassing comment was that "Liverpool barely deserved the third goal". Was that because Stoke were playing so well or dominating the game or just because his mate Walters was playing.
