Our best midfielder by a country mile. When he plays he gives the other players so much more freedom. It's the two centre backs and Can defending with Milner and everyone else able to get forward so much knowing Can will hold the midfield, a one Can midfield.

You can see how much we've missed him in some of our recent games where we need three midfielders to the same amount of work as him.

Out for 6 weeks diagnosis then back 3 weeks later bossing the show.

He's still quite a way off world class, guys...

Give it a couple of years at least.

Great player though. He transformed our midfield, and, in turn, our attack and defence.

He will look great next to a more creative midfielder next season and they will make an amazing partnership.
