2' - Origi holds the ball up neatly with a quick keepy uppy - allows us to the work the ball over to Clyne and we buzz around the Palace box.

3' - Corner. Coutinho lofts it high but Lovren can't get a good head on the ball and it squirts away.

That said, Gini found himself in the box and might have taken a shot rather than the pass which Hennessy picked up easily.

13' - Phil with a lovely pass to Clyne - Townsend has the measure of him though the ball is worked back to the centre.

Reds with 70+ possession but the double row of yellow shirts remains rock solld.

Palace quite content to sit back and play on the counter.

15' - Bobby with an excellent break and run down the middle - passes left to Gini who is unable to control and gets it to Phil - Phil chooses to flick it to Milner instead of shooting and the move breaks down.

Palace counter but Zaha is offside.

30' - Bobby with really good work on the right but lets himself down by directing the ball along the ground into a forest of yellow clad legs. Could have taken a moment to dink it into the middle if he hadn't rushed it.

32' - Molner runs the ball to the box but waits a fraction too long before deciding what to do - Cabaye forces him off and clears. Origi with the ball down the right tries to get a corner to no avail.

Palace FK leads to aerial ping pong and eventually a corner to Palace.

First ball is kept out, Bobby in the mix clearing that - 2nd ball comes in high and is kicked (weakly) at Mignolet who collects comfortably

38' - Can takes his eye off the ball and kicks the ball out the side instead of toward the goal . Was excellent work by Milner who megged his man.

I think Can will be hard pressed to explain how managed to fluff that shot.

Meantime Benteke gets a Yellow for simulation.

41' - Origi was down for a couple of minutes after a mid air clash. Gini gives the ball back to Palace from the restart.

Benteke scores

Soft goal that - quick run down the right, flick across the goalmouth and Benteke arrives at speed and buries it.

51' - How the hell.....Phil dribbles and dribbles and dribbles and eventually is able to get a shot away that is blocked by a falling yellow shirt bum. Corner.

Ball falls to Lucas who smashed it way over into the Kop's top tier.

54' - Phil and Bobby have been working their socks today - for some reason young Divock hasn't managed to get into the game after the first 10 minutes or so.

55' - Kind deflection for Palace as Phil head the ball into Origi and it falls directly to Hennessy - the header was off target but came off a good cross from Clyne.

We're all over them at the moment but the onion bag remains undisturbed.

FK to us 30 yds out is curled in with menace - can't get a head on it and we're back to trying to break down the wall.

58' - Lucas spots a gap and threads a ball through - Firmino is onside but Hennessy is just too quick and collects before he can get a foot on the ball.

Milolevic picks up a yellow for yet another foul.

Coutinho drops the ball into a vacant spot and the ball rolls out without anyone getting a touch on it
