HT v Burnley, 1-1
« on: March 12, 2017, 04:47:04 pm »
Same shit different day. False dawn #78456. Typically abysmal against the same sides. No  movement, no intricate passing, only Mane is providing anything in the attacking third. We can't string three passes together, we can't create an opportunity, can't impose ourselves.

I am so fucking tired of the same bipolar performances from the most frustrating set of players I've seen at the club in the last 20 years. Just honestly what the actual fuck? Will the real Coutinho step up? Can, you want your wages doubled lad? Lallana, Gini, you're getting bullied Joey bleeding Barton in midfield.

Goal scored at the right time.

Get it fucking together! 1-1

Origi, Wijnaldum and Mane have played well, everyone else has been awful. If I never see Can play for us again it will still be too soon.

And Can wants his wages doubled? He's not even worth what we're paying him now.

Not at the races.
Lucky to be at 1-1. Surely we can only be better in the second half.

the only positive about such displays is it highlights the players who need replacing.

I'm the only person who thought a goal was coming for us then?

Fully deserved.

Great goal from Burnley though.  Lovely move.

Lucky to go in level. Mane the only player who looks any sort of threat. Coutinho has been average since his injury. No way near enough assists or goals for a player of his quality.

Massive that we got the equaliser before half time, it was shaping up to be a carbon copy of the game we've seen us play so often against the shite of this league. Need to be much, much better in the second half.

Can we just stop playing Emre Can. That moment when he didn't fancy competing for a header, and then barged over one of their players for a dangerously-placed free kick, was just pathetic. Not really any different from his general play over the last 5 months. Fouls, slowing down play, misplaced passes. He's near useless. I think he played one really good crossfield ball this half. That's the sum of his positive contribution

I think that goal will have lifted some spirits! Inbred wankers probably thought they were going to have it easy, but I can see us being much better in the second half.

We look terrible. Burnley could still easily win it. Performances like this are the reason I gave up on the top four a long time ago. Our remaining fixtures are full of teams like Burnley and it's clear we don't have the ability to get past them consistently.

Horrendous performance, same shit over again. Lucky to get that goal truth be told.

Central midfield of Cann, Wijnaldum and Lallana aren't connecting us up, causing a massive disjoint between attack and defense.

Coutinho, Mane, Lallana, Milner.......all as guilty as anyone of only raising their games for the big teams.  We need a massive change in mentality from these players if we are ever going to make the next step up in quality.

And why the fuck are we playing long ball after long ball.  We can't win a fucking header to save our lives.

Awful.

No energy, when we do win the ball back there is no urgency so every time they get back into shape.

We are playing a really risky offside too. The lino in the first 5 minutes clearly showed he was giving the benefit to the attackers, so why keep stepping up.

1-1, but not a good half. Feels like they win every second ball in midfield. Coutinho not in the game. The only threat we've had is Mane. Hopefully the goal will give us something to build on in the second half.

Seems like the Liverpool side that lost to Leicester has turned up here.

Couple of players having a mare, Can being chief suspect in that.

Also, has Klavan banged Neville's missus or something? Jesus Christ, he wouldn't fuck up about him.
