Well that was just about the perfect game.

Perfect that we showed we could come back from behind.
Perfect to see Sturridge come back, grab a couple and stay fit.
Perfect to see lads like Allen come in and look the part.
Perfect to see Origi get a goal, bloom in confidence and grab a couple more. We now have the really young promising striker we have been looking for. Klopp's comments about him in the pressie were amazing.
Perfect for Ibe to come on and boost his confidence.
Perfect that we could get Moreno off and give him a valuable 20 mins rest at the end of a game when fatigue steps in.
Perfect for young Brad that he could get himself a lovely moment.
Perfect that Clynie got the break he needs.
Perfect (I guess) that we drew Stoke. Although they are tough, 2 games against Everton and City in January on the back of Christmas and around Arsenal/United is tough.

Perfect that this fella is our manager.

They will be the cliche "new signings" of next summer. And they'll also be boss.
We'll have plenty of "new signings" in the summer... Gomez, Ings, Markovic, Ojo, Canos, Kent, Wisdom, Ilori,... i.e. if a few of them aren't returning in January already.

I love it when we really batter a team. Like when the officials only add on only 2 mins of injury time because everyone just wants to get off home.
;D love it

Well that was a bit bloody good wasn't it.

What made it for me was the look on Jurgen's face in response to Origi's third. It was shock and pride and joy and totally expected in the most wonderful of ways.

I haven't felt this hopeful for years, other than what the Suarez factor generated that disappeared when he did.

Emre Can though.

21 years of age.

in fairness, it's not... injuries saw to that.

In all fairness, it should be Remembered that we did play some amazing football under Brendan as well and he has to take some credit for bringing the players you saw tonight to the club in the first place.

Nah! Not really buying the injuries bit.

We didn't have Coutinho, Firmino, Benteke, Mignolet, Sakho, Ings or Gomez tonight.  Players who I guessed would be surplus to requirements over the next few windows suddenly looked like footballers again.

Credit Rogers for the title challenge even though many saw Suarez as the catalyst, but a lot of acknowledgement to Klopp and the squad for what they have put on so far over the last few month

All in one motion. Gets the ball, jinks inside with a nice bit of skill and then puts it on a plate for Sturridge. He's a wonderful player is Can.

I'm loving football again like it's 2013-2014.

Brilliant hat trick from Origi and deserved MoTM.

Credit to Connor Randall tonight, shaky start and Southampton targetted him early but he settled down and played well.

Sturridge, Benteke, Ings and Origi.

Absolutely, and our midfield is well-stocked too.  Good to see the kids getting some time at full-back which is our only real area where we lack quality cover.

What a game.  Beautiful and energetic football.  I was only worried for a minute or two after their goal, until I saw some glimpses of what was to come.

I watched the game in a pub in Balham.  A few reds in there actually, going by the cheers for each goal.   But there was a Geordie lad in there shitting himself about Sunday.   ;D

We were always gonna improve with strikers coming back and all that , obviously not to this extent but another dimension is the defensive organization. 11 games under Klopp only in 1 game we conceded more than one goal and long may it continue.

We are so so good :)

I mean just look at these scorelines: City 1-4, Southampton 1-6 and even add the 3-1 win at Chelsea. The City and Soton away wins are especially not very normal. You can't find a side in recent memory who have managed these sort of victories at two tough grounds like these. Serious signs that we're onto something truly special here.

All this in Klopp's second month in charge too!

If Sturridge avoids a lengthy injury spell, this could seriously be some season. Need to work on our home performances of course, but i'm convinced that will come in the next month or so.

If that is an arithmetic sequence the next away game will be 9-1 (ie. add +1, then +2, then +3 to our score)

If it's a geometric sequence it'll be 10-1 (ie. add 1, then add 2, then add 4...)
