Giovinco has been the best player I've seen in the MLS.

Gerrard played his first competitive game today, a 1-0 loss. Not sure how he did.

Won the Galaxy a rather weak pen, which Keane scored.

Looks more his level, this league. No shame in that, he's 35!

To play 90 minutes 2-3 times a week, yea. At times when he played 20-30 minutes here and there in the Premier League, he was still head and shoulders above many players.

So, scored, won a penalty, had an assist, had a goal disallowed and hit the crossbar.  Left the pitch to a standing ovation.

Just your typical Gerrard then.

That league is so poor, but made up for Stevie to be able to go out every week and be that much better than almost every other player.

Partly why I was excited to see him move to the MLS - the quality of the league allows him to rekindle some of that.

Great debut.

That shin pad business is not making it easy to let go. The last of his kind, this fella, I doubt I'll ever feel such affinity towards any footballer ever again. Loan him back  ;D

Some of his challenges certainly didn't leave doubt that he was there to compete, left his studs in a couple of times ;D

Still my favourite football player I have ever seen play.

So many mixed emotions over those videos. Can't help but feel he could've still offered us something. I suppose we'll see in the coming months.

Well in, super debut.

I was amused that some of the San Jose players were complaining about the penalty he won, then you see the huge red mark over his eye where he had been elbowed. Some meaty challenges in that match, I actually rather enjoyed it. I've seen some properly awful MLS games, but hopefully the addition of some proper world class players like Gerrard, Lampard, Pirlo and Kaka will raise the standard. If there were any doubters thinking he was just over there for a holiday then I think he's well and truly shut them up.

I'm so pleased for him, it looks like the move is going to work out really well. A good pace, some decent players around him, yeah, this should be fun. I reckon he'll be there way beyond the 18 months, especially if he forms a good partnership with Robbie Keane, who it appears cannot stop scoring at the moment.

Best player on the pitch there and he isn't fit yet.

Really nice video from MKB: 20 mins of Goals, assists and key passes.

That was actually quite a cool watch. A bit overdramatic at times but a nice little montage of the game. Would be good to see LFCTV do a similar thing for all of our games throughout the season.

Yeah, I have to say I'm impressed by the Galaxy's production quality & work on social media; they put out some quality content for their supporters. I always enjoy behind-the-scenes content in sport - NBA on TNT does this very well with their various "mic'd up" segments; and I enjoy Manchester City's "Tunnel Cam" when we play them. The Club should look at borrowing some of these features.
