a new player such as Handscomb wouldn't be reminding the captain to look at the dressing room.
Did he "remind" him or did he just tell him to?
Look I'm not saying he wasn't doing it because like everyone, including the people making claims, I have no proof either way. We know he did it once. He admitted it was wrong.
Is it not possible that a new player like Handscomb, who has played only a handful of matches with DRS genuinely didn't know he couldn't look at the box?
Theres a lot of "ooooh I dunno, just feels dodgy to me" and people making leaps to get to the convenient position where they can believe Australia were systematically cheating.
Personally, I think Handscomb didn't know you can't do it (I didn't). He told Smith to do it and whether Smith actually knew it was against the laws or not, I think he was absolutely bricking it at the time thinking the game was slipping away and he decided Handscomb had a good idea.
