Wouldn't go on a Saturday. As with all the hipster places there (Camp and Furnace, Constellations and Baltic Market), they get popular, more and more people go and they cant handle a weekend crowd.

Wasn't a fan of the food either. The pop-ups are just overpriced versions of their full restaurants. Drinks were good though

I have.

Took mum for a Sunday roast.

Brilliant from start to finish.

I had pate which was beautiful and buttery. Mum had cauliflower soup which I could have eaten.

The staff were great with mum wanting her beef on the well done side.

Crumble for mum to finish and I had the blackberry and chocolate mouse.

Staff were fantastic, knowledgeable and keen to please.

Can't fault it

I went to Wreckfish  for lunch there when it opened in October. It really was top notch - best bit it was only £20 for 3 course. Couldnt recommend it enough

Noticed that the other day. Jalons Bridewell was good as well.

Was in the renamed Bridewell the other day, Furnevals Well, run by the same people as Berry and Rye.

Furnivals Wells is a cracking little spot. Enjoy the beer and bourbon/whisky combos very much.

Went here for lunch

http://www.santamaluco.com/food/

All you can eat Pizza for 10.95, some really nice ones aswell - 16 in total

Slight issue that they only do one of each at a time and walk round everyone, it only takes one big table before and its gone so you might not get any of the one you really want

enjoyed it though

Amelia this afternoon.

Put simply, it was excellent.

3 of us, we had a charcuterie platter, garlic pizza for starter, followed by a calzone, carbonara with seafood and squid ink and a seafood ravioli. Couple of Morettis and glasses of wine, all for £73.50. Great service, no rushing even though pretty busy, nice and relaxed.

Highly recommended.

Obviously that should say Amalia and is off Duke St

We like to take advantage of the weekday wine and dine offers and two of  the best are The Monro, duke st and Bistro Franc on Hanover St.

The former is £20 per person with 2 course meal and a bottle of wine each. Absolutely wonderful food -Monday night

My favourite is Bistro Franc. Always a good atmosphere and always amazing food. On a sunday you can get a 2 course meal and bottle of wine each for £18.

Both great value.

Not a restaurant,  more a cafe, but had a really good vegan meal in the Green Dyas cafe on lark Lane.  Great service,  tasty food and a bargain price!  Recommended!

Went to Rotisserie Hub in Knotty Ash yesterday for lunch - it's the old Knotty Ash pub and it was really nice. I had a chicken baguette my wife had a beef brisket baguette, Cole slaw, salad, gravy, fries and two drinks for £20. It is open of an evening as well and I understand the Sunday roasts are splendid.

A few I’ve visited over past few months:

Oktopus: nice atmosphere, great food but a little pricey. Defo worth a visit though.

The Marina: went just before new year- haven’t been there in yonks. Was a bit of a revelation to be honest- great food (now done as a selection of small plates) good service and dead reasonable.

Lady Jade Old Swan - masterful manipulation of Trip Advisor. A nice neighbourhood Chinese but no more than that. Love their entrepreneurial spirit though.

Yukti -still the best restaurant in Liverpool by a mile. Stupendous Indian food, a lovely dining room, fantastic service, and right in the middle of the Swan!

Sakara (Aigburth Road) really good neighbourhood tapas and bar. Great atmosphere and somewhere you can happily sit all night enjoying the food and ale.

Tavern Co - still does a boss brekkie.

Fat Italian (Crosby) the Tuesday night deal is phenomenal value. 3 courses of great food for about twelve quid.

Allerton golf club- ok but pricey. Nice room which they’ve spent a few bob on, but a bit soul less. Food is ok.

George’s Kitchen- some really great food and beer on offer but it’s always fucking chocker and a bit too noisy for an arl arse like me. Their piccalilli is fucking marvellous though.

Moor Hall soon -can’t wait!

Went to PanAm on the Albert Dock on Sunday - they've got a "pre-book a table and get 50% off food in January" offer.

Had two sharing platters between me, the missus and 2 daughters to start. For mains, the girls had really good pasta dishes (off the adult menu); me and the missus had fillet steak with blue cheese and mushroom sauce. Really good - the steaks cooked perfectly to order, so tender, and strongly favoured sauce. All four mains were really tasty.

Disregarding drinks, the food (with discount) came to £42 for the four of us. Cracking value.
A Tory, a worker and an immigrant are sat round a table. There's a plate of 10 biscuits in the middle. The Tory takes 9 then turns to the worker and says "that immigrant is trying to steal your biscuit"

Not strictly Liverpool I know, but fuck me, Moor Hall is good!

Went to the more casual barn last night, and the food was outstanding. Best chicken liver pate I've ever had, and the venison main was gorgeous too.

Off to try the main restaurant in March, and can't wait now after last night.

Depends what you're looking for, but Carriage Works does a fixed priced menu with 1/2 bottle of wine per person on Mondays, the wine is OK too.
I took a few family there a couple of months ago and having the first 4 bottles of wine thrown in made a good difference to the bill. Food was decent too.

For those asking, Cafe Porto is great. I’m not a local but we stumbled across it the last time we were over and had a fantastic meal.

It’s a tiny little place, and the only staff were the owner and his mate in the kitchen, but it has those little quirks that makes a small restaurant great, eg they didn’t have the wine we ordered but he produced a bottle of some different stuff, saying “this is the same sort as you ordered, it’s just a bit better, but I’ll only charge the same price for it.” Can’t wait to go back and would really recommend it.

Meant to do this at the time, something reminded me whilst walking past last night. The Boot Room at Anfield is decent for anyone doing the stadium tour or a treat on a match day.

Went a few months ago, had a kebab style starter, rib eye steak main and a chocolate dessert. I can't advise on the price as I won it as a raffle prize which also included a bottle of wine. Food was good all round a definite improvement on pub food.
